The Canon PIXMA iP8720 Wireless Inkjet Photo Printer allows you to create high resolution 9600 x 2400 dpi full color prints. It can even print borderless up to 13 x 19″ and produce a 4 x 6″ full color photograph in about 36 seconds. Additionally, with 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi connectivity, many more wireless printing options are available.
For paper handling the iP8720 utilizes a 150-sheet automatic feeder. This enables it to print 14.5 black ipm and 10.4 color ipm without worry of refilling the printer. Also, this printer has a 6-color ink configuration, including gray, that enables excellent tonalities and color reproduction for your images.
You can print directly onto CD, DVD, and Blu-ray discs with the use of the disc tray. Other features include automatic power on and off for power management when the printer is not in use as well as compatibility with the PIXMA Printing Solutions smartphone application.

I print almost all of my own pictures. The quality of prints from this non professional printer is remarkable. Yes, it uses a lot of ink but worth it!

You may find my review after I purchased the iP8720. Now, I feel obligated to update my review after 3 months of usage. No, I wouldn’t recommend it to a friend. The print quality is decent but it is exceptionally poor in handling nonstandard media (envelopes, smaller sizes of paper, labels, etc.) It’s rough. It doesn’t come with a dedicated documentation and online documentation is of little use. This is my first and last Canon printer.

Everything about this printer is top notch. Easy to setup. Consistent quality prints. What I don’t like – Canon thinks everyone has WiFi so they don’t include a USB cable. I don’t want nor do I need WiFi. What I want and need is a USB cable included with the box. I had to delay a large print job for a customer because I was waiting for the cable that I had to order separately.

Easy setup. Produces high quality prints when using Canon paper & ink. Can’t comment if you switch either one. Physically large but not terribly so.

I couldn’t get this to stay connected. Nothing wrong with my wireless network. Then I ended up with four or five IP8720 series on my printer queue. Cartridges ran out quickly. I did like the large scale printing but would never recommend this to anyone.

Just the right wireless printer for the amateur photographer.

This replaced the ip6600D that I had for ten years before it finally died. The i8720 looks stylish, and I love the ability to print on larger paper. I like being able to completely close the printer so I don’t have to worry about dust or pet hairs getting inside. The photos I have printed from my 20D look amazing. I have several photos hanging on my walls, and they look like professional prints. The pigment inks let you decoupage prints onto canvas or other surfaces for craft projects, without the colors running or bleeding. This printer seems to get into terrible disagreements with Photoshop if the file color is set to RGB. Standard print will cause colors to come out way too dark. The print profile that looks the best for our RGB files is BJ Color Printer Profile 2000, which I think was in the list from my ip6600D. Runner-up was Generic Monitor, which I believe came with Photoshop, but the red & orange are still a tad too dark. I absolutely love Canon products, and I’m hoping this printer will last ten years like my old one did. Canon may want to consider updating the drivers for when RGB graphics are printed, but that’s not enough of an issue to lower my rating.

Easy to use. Easy to set up except for air printing. Still haven’t set this up despite numerous tries. Great copies of both letters and pictures.

Prints come out a little bit darker then what I see on screen. I try to do manual settings for printer but I just left it values at 0. I thing the Auto tries to make correction to print and makes it worse. I will try to play a little bit more with Printer Settings.

Item was backordered, waited several weeks to receive. Worth the wait. Arrived in good condition, easy to set up and works great. Replacing an Epson 1400 large format printer. Like the Canon better.

We were looking for a machine that would produce 11X17 and this more than fill our wishes. The color has been excellent and it reproduces our prints accurately every time. We are very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone. The price was great and even better with the free shipping. The only negative thing I could say is that this needs to be connected directly to a computer, we thought that it would work through our network. We have been able to work around that problem.

So far so good, mostly. I did notice that trying to print on paper other than letter (11×17) didnt work with the canon selphy phone app. The printer did get caught in some kind of loop while printing one time and didnt complete the print job and was difficult to clear the print queue. Most of the time it prints well with good quality. The photos printed on photo paper have turned out beautifully.

I’ve had this printer for several weeks and am fairly pleased with my purchase. It does a good job printing greeting cards, which is the main reason I selected it. It is physically large a little noisy, but so far has met my needs. The ink is too expensive, but isn’t that the case for any printer manufacturer ? Had to hook it up USB, My network wouldn’t recognize it.

My experience does not match reviews. I am currently 3 hours and 45 minutes into troubleshooting this printers setup and I am installing on a 2017 MacBook Pro. I have calmly tried to set up via both manuals offered by Cannon, but am unable to print as of this very moment. The experience has been so frustrating in fact, that I regret it, and will seek an alternative brand solution to my printing needs in the future
