The Canon PIXMA iP8720 Wireless Inkjet Photo Printer allows you to create high resolution 9600 x 2400 dpi full color prints. It can even print borderless up to 13 x 19″ and produce a 4 x 6″ full color photograph in about 36 seconds. Additionally, with 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi connectivity, many more wireless printing options are available.
For paper handling the iP8720 utilizes a 150-sheet automatic feeder. This enables it to print 14.5 black ipm and 10.4 color ipm without worry of refilling the printer. Also, this printer has a 6-color ink configuration, including gray, that enables excellent tonalities and color reproduction for your images.
You can print directly onto CD, DVD, and Blu-ray discs with the use of the disc tray. Other features include automatic power on and off for power management when the printer is not in use as well as compatibility with the PIXMA Printing Solutions smartphone application.

I usually wait until after I I’ve had a product for a while to review, but this printer was more frustrating to setup than my ip6820. The usb cable and power cord was the easy part, as was installing the ink, but the installation was confusing. It involved more steps than my ip6820 printer and every time I thought setup was done it wasn’t, meaning I had to keep inserting the disc. In stalling the software was quick and without problems. My real complaint: 1) I had to go online to find out how to insert the disc tray because the poorly designed manuals that come with it does a terrible at doing so, and I had to watch a video to learn how to do it; 2) what’s the purpose of giving this printer a wireless button and all it does is turn the feature on – you have to do something else to turn it off: and 3) why do one have to install a user manual – this doesn’t make since. Plus, the manual does even mention anything wireless. YES! You heard me correct. It just covers printing and maintenance. Hopefully the prints will come out great since the test page printed correctly.

The printing and imaging quality of this product is acceptable, but the printer could not be configured to work wirelessly; thus I am giving it one star out of five. If the nerds who design these products knew what they were doing, the products would work as advertised.

I have owned this printer since Christmas, 2019. Hefty little bugger! I am very happy with everything this printer does. A screen menu on the printer, itself, would be nice but I can live without it. My prints are gorgeous and my everyday printing looks like something from an actual publisher! Although setting up printer and color profiles can sometimes be daunting, I suggest doing so. Color calibrating your monitor is always a good idea, too. High capacity replacement ink is about $30 LESS than it was for my Epson xp-430 which used only 4 cartridges! For my needs, I am very pleased with the iP8720.

This is great. I would love a larger one but dont have the room. This is beautiful for senior portraits and then to give to a client. Use the Canon Luster paper 13×17 with this printer! Make sure you put the settings right where you print from that you are using this paper for superb printing and color.

The Canon Pixma iP8720 is an ideal printer for the serious amateur or professional. Images are very professional looking and rival those of a photo lab print. Installation and operation are very straight forward. Wireless works as advertised. This is a extremely good buy for the investment. As with all printers the original ink supplied with the printer does not last long. However, the quality is worth it.

I printed a few pictures just to see Very happy with the results thus far. I actually cancelled my order from Amazon for the exact same printer. 4 days after purchasing it, the in stock printer still hadn’t shipped. I found the B&H website that offered same day shipping.
