The Canon PIXMA iP8720 Wireless Inkjet Photo Printer allows you to create high resolution 9600 x 2400 dpi full color prints. It can even print borderless up to 13 x 19″ and produce a 4 x 6″ full color photograph in about 36 seconds. Additionally, with 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi connectivity, many more wireless printing options are available.
For paper handling the iP8720 utilizes a 150-sheet automatic feeder. This enables it to print 14.5 black ipm and 10.4 color ipm without worry of refilling the printer. Also, this printer has a 6-color ink configuration, including gray, that enables excellent tonalities and color reproduction for your images.
You can print directly onto CD, DVD, and Blu-ray discs with the use of the disc tray. Other features include automatic power on and off for power management when the printer is not in use as well as compatibility with the PIXMA Printing Solutions smartphone application.

I am so glad I bought this printer. Every print comes out amazing! I am primarily printing in color and through photoshop. A must purchase and B&H made it easy!

I have a Canon Pro-1000 that is excellent but too costly to use with ink at about $50 for me. I took much time to select my more economical printer and the one that kept poping up was the Canon Pixma iP8720 where it prints well and cost a lot less to print with ink costing about $10 per cartridge. Also the chances that the ink would dry out is much less.

Bought the printer yesterday and have been on the phone with Canon for 2 hours to try and resolve the issue. It turns out that they only run on IPv4 and have issues connecting with Rogers modems in Canada

I bought this to replace my Epson R1800, the blues are beautiful, the greens are vibrant but the images have an all-around reddish hue to it.

Replaces a Canon i9900 that finally died. Very happy with Canon printers. Dropped one star because software kept failing to ID the printer. Let Win10 Pro do the install and problem solved.

Everything I hoped for!

This printer is used as a photo printer and a low volume home office printer. As an office printer it’s a bit too big and a bit slow but the output is good. As a photo printer it produces beautiful prints. I am very pleased with it.

THIS IS MY THIRD IP8720 IN THREE YEARS. I USE IT HEAVILY FOR CAD 13 X 19 DRAWINGS. IT IS THE FASTEST QUALITY PRINTER THAT I HAVE USED. I DO NOT USE IT FOR PHOTOS. I HAVE A CANON IP7200 THAT I USE FOR PHOTOS.

We have several of these in the office. They work reliably with various paper sizes, DVD, and CD printing.

I am a Canon junky. I have not had trouble with printers, ink or paper. Costs more but trouble free. Now for this printer. You can print on DVDs which is easy and with included softwre can be creative. Cartridges are larger than normal but can be purchased with extra ink. Machine is fast not noisy nd prints beautifully. Ink comes with machine but doesn’t last long. Order ink in advance an d have on hand. Machine is large so make room for it. Canon included software is getting better and is now very useful.

Easy to set up, including ink cartridges and first sample print was better than any I have done before. Looking forward to many more with confidence.

I was honestly impressed by the quality of the prints that I got with this one. I used to go to a professional printer to get my convention posters done, but it was getting a tad expensive considering I would order a couple quantities and not know if I would sell everything I had produced. With this, I can get good quality prints to sell without being afraid of having a lot of overstock.

Print fast, borderless printing.

Great quality prints. Eats ink fast but it’s worth it. The software is absolutely terrible for who this printer is made for. The software is so basic and limited that it’s frustrating, I’d thought canon would have something better to pair with such a great machine. The software has the functionality but it’s pretty poorly set up and not at all intuitive. This is a pro-sumer level printer and as such should have something more powerful print handling.

Ive had this Pixma iP8720 for several weeks, experimenting with a variety of paper types, sizes and photo subjects. It installed flawlessly and prints exactly what I would want from a high-end photo printer. The presentation of the colors are spot-on and alignment with the page is accurate and consistent sheet to sheet. Wireless operations work well from two different laptops, a the Samsung smartphone and tablet App. Word text documents arent nearly as crisp and contrasty as my laser printer, but is acceptable for general purpose copies. Barcodes for ticket scanning is good. Ive used many HP, Canon and Epson printers for over 45 years in my jobs and companys – dot matrix, inkjet and laser. Im inclined to give Canon highest marks for photo printing and business graphics/text laser. This Pixma is part of that exceptional experience. B&H once again did their job flawlessly from ordering to delivery. I wrote to them separately with an idea on how to improve their on-line product selection process. They continue to impress me with a well-run, professional business experience. To my knowledge I consider B&H the best in the business

I would have given it a 5 star, but was unable to find a manual online to assist me in printing 12×12 photos. Once I figured it out I was happy with the quality of the print. This is my 1st Canon, having purchased 7 other from another leading manufacturer. Photo images are clear & the photos come out completely dry to sticky finish.

I purchased this printer to replace my aging printer which was of another brand. I also wanted something that would print larger prints. I was surprised how accurate the colors are and am truly impressed by the print it produces. I have printed a few 4×6’s and a few 8.5×11. I don’t know how long the ink will last yet but I am definately impressed with the prints and would definately recommed this printer. Expecially at its price.

Love the Canon printer in terms of speed and quality of the pictures. However, for the wireless function does not work. I wound up hardwiring…..
