This is very nice paper with a very good color gamut. It has a nice slightly luster surface that works well with the glossy inks in my Epson printer. It’s a good archival heavy paper for fine art photos. Since it’s on the expensive side, I wouldn’t use it for everyday photos.

Printing highly detailed photos of historic architectural features, it simply brings out the very best in color, clarity and amazingly fine details. Using this paper has raised my photographic prints to a stratospheric level of brilliance and desirability from my clients. Thanks for making it available!

This is my go to paper for the best print I can make! I prefer a glossy finish and I print in both color and black and white. I have a big history of darkroom printing and this feels like the closes inkjet/pigment will ever get to silver fibre. Canson profiles are more than adequate, but I prefer mine that I made with a color munki. I like the results on my canon pro 1. The epson 9890 I use didn’t work great with the profiles, but does just fine with RIP software. I love the way it feels and looks. If you’re looking for a something similar, for proofs etc, I’ve found moab’s juniper to be comparable as far as look and texture, but no where near as nice! You get what you pay for. My only gripe is that fragments or threads from the back of the image can be littered on the sheet behind it. Make sure to inspect the surface of every sheet before printing.

Accurate and consistent color when using the Canson icc profile. However, prints do come out a bit on the dark side, but I think that has more to do with the monitor calibration (if so, experiment and compensate by increasing the brightness or exposure in Lightroom or Photoshop).

Wonderful rich surface, deep luxurious blacks. It’s the only paper I use anymore.

This is gorgeous paper, better than Epson Exhibition Fiber. Very rich blacks. The one problem that I’ve had with 2 boxes of 25-17×22, purchased months apart, is that the paper is slightly curled up at the two ends, and I have had to de-roll every sheet so it feeds into my Epson SCP-7000 printer without jamming. Otherwise the paper gets jammed in the printer’s last slot before the paper exits the printer. This is a big pain. The box the paper comes in is much more flimsy than Epson’s boxes for similar quality papers; this might be a source of the problem.

Excellent B + W. Great middle tones.

An excellent heavy weighted paper (310gm) for printing your final works for presentation. It’s a paper without the usual brighteners and it very much resembled the old B & W double weight photo papers. I have found that it is especially good with black and white images.

Almost identical to Epson Platine but cheaper, same high quality.

I just finished printing for a show and this is my paper of choice. It is consistently excellent, the weight of the paper makes it easier to mat, and I love the paper surface. Black and white images are visually stunning and better in my opinion than traditional silver gelation papers. Color images are also excellent. To deal with the gloss differential problem I spray the prints with Print Shield

This is a great paper for both color and b and w prints.

I can mix the print on this paper and silver print done on Bergger warmtone paper on the same exhibition wall. Extremely trustable paper for b/w printing.

I have been using Epson Legacy paper for a while but was having a hard time finding the Legacy Platine in the size I wanted. Switched to Canson and am happy with both quality and lower price.
Bryce Nicolas (verified owner) –
The paper is beautiful and provides for making a quality print. I gave four stars because the first box showed up undamaged on the outside, but the paper inside was creased. B&H replaced it with no issue.
Elmo Douglas (verified owner) –
I use the paper to update my portfolio, It is inexpensive and a great paper for both black&white prints and colored prints. The paper has a nice weight to it. Giving you the sense that you are really picking up a nice piece of artwork.
