This is a great all around paper. The smooth satin finish lends itself to both color and black and white.

Canon makes great papers, including this Platine I use for black & white as it has a wide tonal range with a subtle grain.

I used this paper to print my newest body of work and knew people would be handling this paper. This paper is NOT flimsy and holds out finger prints which is perfect. Once you print on the fibre rag, if you leave a border on the image, you will notice that the border looks more matte compared to the section where the ink laid. This paper is like the Epson Luster just BETTER and THICKER! It’s a beautiful paper, I used Epson 3880 printer and it’s thin enough for it to fit in the normal paper slot. I am always asked what kind of paper I use!!!

I have been using Epson Legacy paper for a while but was having a hard time finding the Legacy Platine in the size I wanted. Switched to Canson and am happy with both quality and lower price.

Great paper! Really nice quality and weight. Using with the SureColor P800 after upgrading from the 3880- beautiful results!

Canson’s Platine Fibre Rag is the best paper I’ve ever printed on. I have yet to try Rag Photographique, which I hear great things about, but until then this is my go to paper for fine art prints. I generally print in B&W but Platine FR does beautiful with color also. For a very long time I used Baryta Photographique as my paper of choice, but I think Platine has the edge. I’d highly recommend.

This paper can only be described as fabulous. I have returned to photography after many years and I am stunned by how incredible my digital prints are on this paper. No need for the old fashioned drying or dry mounting.

Deep blacks, high Dmax, great texture. A marvelous visual and tactile experience

I love this paper. I have been using it for years. From time to time I sample other papers but I always come back to Canson Infinity.

I bought this pack to test the paper for a possible switch. For now, Ive chosen a different paper but Platine Fiber Rag is still a future contender. My experience: Some of the sharpest details and truest tones of any paper Ive ever used — spectacular really. A little shiny for my preference (of course, its a coated stock). On my test with heavy blacks, I saw some white spots in the solids, but I cant say if it was flaking or surface dust. On one print, I saw inexplicable cyan tones in what should have been a white highlights — still trying to understand what happened there.

Beautiful low luster paper! Would buy it again.

This paper looks like silver gelatin fiber gloss paper….really nice!

I have come to love the feel and texture of this paper. It is my standard unless the image calls for a more glossy surface.

Deep rich blacks. I’ll be printing all of my monotones for my gallery (@)on this paper from here on out. I never give anything five stars.

I started using Canson Infinity paper about two months ago. I am totally pleased with its ability to produce beautiful black and white or color prints, even using an older Epson 7800 printer. Excellent product! Just for the record, I am a professional photographer operating a studio for 12 years.

I love the Canson Baryta surface. A little more texture that the Photographique.

Printing with an Epson R2880, the Canson paper is the right texture and look for the black and white image, or photograph. We shoot BW film, scan, and print. We shoot digital as well. While Baryta papers do a good job, the Canson Platine Fibre Rag is probably best for the real photography look. My printer settings are for luster surface, with Photoshop managing the color, with the Platine Fibre Rag profile supplied by Canson.
