The Capri Tools 1/4 in. Drive Master Socket Set is a complete collection of most frequently used sockets and accessories. Organized by size in a specially made impact-resistant tool case, the sockets and accessories stay where they are as you carry them around. We use premium Chrome Vanadium steel tempered with our proprietary heat treatment process to make these sockets and accessories. They are durable and withstand more torque. Each item underwent careful polishing and protective plating process to achieve our own chrome finish. The 6-point WaveDrive design grips fasteners more tightly than traditional design, preventing fastener rounding and giving you more leverage. Meets and exceeds ASME B107.110 standards. 51-piece set includes (23) 1/4 in. drive standard sockets, (18) 1/4 in. drive deep sockets, (1) 1/4 in. drive quick release ratchet, (3) 1/4 in. drive extension bars, (1) 1/4 in. drive spinner handle, and (5) convenient adapters.

The first thing that struck me is that has to be the nicest looking socket set ever. All the parts are beautifully machined and plated, and the markings are very large and clear. The roomy case is good quality, the latches work well, and every part is easy to pick up and put back, with no annoying snap-in holders or tight clearances in the wells. That big, bright blue logo might be a bit over the top but at least you won’t be opening this case upside-down and losing everything. And, the blue is sort of a relief from a world of red, orange and yellow tools.Everything fits and feels just like it should, and I like having SAE and Metric in parallel rows, because when working on some old thing I might be in doubt which I’m going to need. The palm ratchet has fine pitch teeth, for a smooth action and better usability in tight spots. And deep sockets are so great when you need them. Quarter-inch drive means sockets can be really small, and this set goes all the way down to 4 mm and 3/16. For my typical DIY uses in home, appliance or bike repairs, that’s what I want and I don’t often need the additional strength of 3/8 drive.The set includes a nice spring-loaded 1/4 inch adapter for hex bits, and an open space in the case for things like screwdriver/hex/torx bits, so I can have it all in one box. I really like this set and will have to resist the temptation to sit there polishing the beautiful parts and not getting anything done.

I used this Capri 1/4″ Drive Socket Set to disassemble my brush hog mower for maintenance. The layout in the heavy duty case displays all parts in a neat easy to find arrangement, with each socket size embossed on the case & engraved on the socket. All the inch & MM deep sockets are in their own row as are the inch & MM standard sockets. The ratchet head is low profile so I was able to get into a tight spot & the tiny increment ratcheting allowed me to loosen a bolt, in that tight spot. The unique push button release on the ratchet head, securely held the socket on the ratchet. My old ratchet would occasionally drop a socket, if I were pulling away from a bolt, on a slight angle. The set seems to have everything you might want in a 1/4″ drive socket set including: 1/4″ to 3/8″ adapter, 3/8″ to 1/4″ adapter, 1/4″ spinner handle, 2″, 6″, 9″ extension bars, universal joint & a 1/4″ drive coupler adapter. I used the ratchet head & 14mm deep socket on one side of a bolt & the 9″ breaker bar, (that doubles as an extension bar), with a 14mm standard socket, to loosen & remove most of the bolts on the brush hog mower. Having everything I needed to do this job, saved me a lot of time & work. This is the perfect socket tool set.
