The Capri Tools 1/4 in. Drive Universal Sockets have a 40 working angle and rotate smoothly in 360°. They give you the ultimate accessibility to fasteners in tight spots. Made with premium Chrome Vanadium steel and tempered with our proprietary heat treatment process, they withstand more torque. Our own chrome plating not only gives the sockets the perfect polished look and feel, it’s enhances their durability and corrosion resistance. Stamped sizing is permanent and does not fade over time. The 6-point WaveDrive design grips fasteners more tightly than traditional design, preventing fastener rounding and giving you more leverage. Meets and exceeds ASME B107.110 standards. FOR ACCESSING HARD-to-REACH LOCATIONS — The Capri Tools 1/4 in. Drive Metric Universal Socket Set provides the user the capability to reach hard-to-access nuts and bolts because of the flexibility of the universal joint of the socket. This joint has a full 360-degree rotation plus a 40-degree working angle. The set includes 12 of the most common metric sockets for a 1/4″ ratchet. Having such sockets eliminates the need for a universal joint adapter and socket which may make it more difficult accessing some places. The walls of the sockets are thinner than most. It has a six-point wave design for getting a better grip on a bolt. Each socket has a laser etching which makes the socket size easily readable and not subject to fading. These sockets are only to be used with hand tools. The set has a strong case for storing the sockets. And if you are a fan of Capri tools, it even includes a decal with the Capri name and logo. You need your original receipt and proof that you are the original purchaser for the limited lifetime warranty to be applicable. The set is made in Taiwan.

This is a very nice set of sockets that swivel for hard-to-reach places. Seems to be of good quality only time will tell. The metric socket set has 12 sockets ranging from 5 mm all the way up to 15 mm quarter inch drive with a 360° swivel. One of the other nice features about this set is the case that it comes in, seems to be very quality oriented. The box has a actual hinge I would think that if they put this much quality into the case then the sockets are the same quality. Molded to keep the sockets in place, has a nice plastic clasp that holds it closed with a place for a very small lock. Has the name of the company embossed on the case itself. The case has the size of the sockets stamped on it as well as the sockets themselves.

A universal drive drive socket is one of those tools that you don’t need all that often, but when you do need one nothing else is satisfactory. It allows you to loosen, remove or tighten bolts and nuts in spots that are otherwise very difficult or impossible. To remove the fuel tank to service the carburetor on my garden tractor, I could not get a regular socket with normal universal joint and extension on the bolt head which is down between the frame and the tank. I could barely get an open-end wrench partly onto it, but could only make one-sixth of a turn at a time – slow and frustrating and it tended to slip. This universal socket would just fit into the space, and spun the bolt right out of there.

sockets are nice quality and the case is really nice too. But the case size is a little too big for practical use. Not very compact but does hold everything nice and neatly. But sockets and warranty give this a 5 star.

I aquired this 12 piece Capri 1/4″ drive socket set to suppliment my existing 1/4 ” drive socket set. Each socket has its own swivel attached. The sizes are from 5 to 15 wich are the most generally used ofor the smallest sizes. The sockets are six pointed and made from high quality material. They are easy to grab and use. The blue plastic case keeps them organized and protected. It’s nice that the universal swivel is attached on easy socket.
