Made with premium Chrome Vanadium steel and tempered with our proprietary heat treatment process, they withstand more torque. Our own chrome plating not only gives the sockets the perfect polished look and feel, it’s enhances their durability and corrosion resistance. Stamped sizing is permanent and does not fade over time. The 6-point WaveDrive design grips fasteners more tightly than traditional design, preventing fastener rounding and giving you more leverage. Meets and exceeds ASME B107.110 standards. This Capri universal socket set is certainly the best looking set in my toolbox. The finish quality is just amazing. I haven’t seen a better looking socket anywhere. Of course, that does not mean they will perform, buy really, its a 1/4″ drive socket and you are not going to be putting tremendous loads on them. I expect they will do whatever job you need them for. I would trade all my old sockets for new sets of this quality. Yes, they are made in Taiwan, but you would never suspect that just by examination. This is not a cheap looking tool. The markings are in big numbers so I can read them without my glasses. The carrying case is nice too, just a bit too big for 7 little sockets.

This Capri universal swivel 1/4″ drive standard size socket set is compact and easy to use. Each socket size has its own swivel and the socket is 6 pointed. They are made of high quality metal and when I use them, there is no slipping off the head. There are seven sizes 3/16 ” through 9/16″ (the most common sizes). The plastic locking case is easy to carry, simple to access and would ideally protect each socket. If it included a 1/4″ drive rachet, this set would be perfect. It supports you existing 1/4″ drive nicely.

Surprisingly well designed and good quality universal socket set in 1/4″ drive. Something I noticed right away was that the connecting posts are hex drive posts rather than roll pins that assemble the components which makes them stronger and more long lasting. (see picture) This is a 7-piece set which has a 9/16″ socket generally not found in other 1/4″ drive sets as they usually stop at 1/2″ socket size. They are 6-point sockets which tend to withstand wear better than 12-point sockets. They come in a sturdy storage case and my only complaint is that the case is much larger than it needs to be so it takes up a lot of room in the tool box or cabinet drawer. For a case that size, it would have been nice to have a ratchet & extension to make the set more handy & complete. It came with a logo decal so I put it on the inside cover of the case.

This is a very nice set of sockets that swivel for hard-to-reach places. Seems to be of good quality only time will tell. The standard socket set has 7 sockets ranging from 3/16 all the way up to 9/16 quarter inch drive. One of the other nice features about this set is the case that it comes in, seems to be very quality oriented. The box has a actual hinge I would think that if they put this much quality into the case then the sockets are the same quality. Molded to keep the sockets in place, has a nice plastic clasp that holds it closed with a place for a very small lock. Has the name of the company embossed on the case itself.

MAKES IT EASIER TO ACCESS TIGHT PLACES — The Capri Tools 1/4 in. Drive SAE Universal Socket Set provides the user the capability to access hard to reach bolts and nuts because of the flexibility of the universal joint of the socket. This joint has a full 360-degree rotation plus a 40-degree working angle. The set includes 7 of the most common SAE sockets for a 1/4″ ratchet. The walls of the sockets are thinner than most which could be a plus for getting into tight places. It has a six-point wave design for getting a better grip on a bolt. Each socket has a laser etching which makes the socket size easily readable and not subject to fading. A possible stress point for the failure of a socket is the universal joint. In using a socket, I had a concern that if I applied too much force that the joint would break but it did not. These sockets are only to be used with hand tools. The set has a strong case for storing the sockets. You need your original receipt and proof that you are the original purchaser for the limited lifetime warranty to be applicable

What a great addition to the tool box. This set of sockets, all 1/4″ drive, with built in universal joints works great in tight space applications. Comes nicely packaged in a convenient plastic flip open box, so is great for travel in the car or RV. High quality finish on all of the components. Sizes are stamped into the metal of the socket so should never wear off. Design of the actual socket reduces the possibility of “rounding off” a nut or bolt head during installation or removal. Works with any 1/4″ drive handle.
