My mini hacksaw was getting pretty old and has seen a lot of use. This new one has such a better handle which is easier to grip well. Plus it has support halfway down the blade which my old one didn’t. There are many times when there is not enough room to use a full size hacksaw or it would be too clumsy to use one. The most times I’ve used a mini hacksaw was to cut off closet bolts that the nut could not be removed from. That’s happened more times than I can count on toilets that have been there for a long time.

Here is a handy hacksaw for those hard to reach/get in areas where a typical hacksaw won’t work. things like cutting off toile mounting bolts and other items, using this saw will save you time and aggravation. Not only is this a handy tool but it is also well constructed. It holds the blade very well and firmly. Takes a standard blade so you won’t need different blades.

It’s surely more compact than the typical hacksaw, and is great for the hard-to reach areas. The adjustable screw allows you to move the blade as far in or out as you need. The rubber grip helps you lay down some power to your cut as well. However, for some reason it was hard to cut with this saw; I’m not sure if the blade was sharp enough, so I put it backwards and it seemed to have cut better. Perhaps I was applying too much pressure or perhaps it’s just hard to tell how straight the blade is on such a short length and so it starts going sideways or angled. To be honest it’s not the best value, but at least the teal color makes for easy locating in a construction area.

This is a review of Capri’s 12″ mini hacksaw Model #20105.It is made in Taiwan. A 12″ 24 tpi bi-metal blade [CP90510] is included … used for cutting thru soft steel from 1/8″ to 3/8″ thick.The support points are separated by 3″. 6″ of your blade can be tucked into the handle; so, the 12″ blade leaves 3″ of blade ‘wagging in the air”, fore or aft … which could be a problem in close quarters. So, for sawing in tight quarters, you’ll want to be using 10″ blades in this tool.The body is composed of riveted sandwiched stamped pieces with a soft ‘flatish’ handle clad to it. [I would have preferred the handle be not so flat for improved ergonomics.]The blade is fixed into position with a cheapo wingnut [applies friction] … normally this friction alone might not be enough to keep the blade from slipping; however, when you look at the leverage points, the saving grace is that the teeth of the stowed blade grab onto the handle where it enters … the blade stays put.

All in all a very well made and designed tool that will last you for years.

Solid tool that is easy to use and very maneuverable. The mini hacksaw uses standard 12″ hack saw blades. The blade can be extended/contracted to change the usable length as the blade can extend thru and past the end of the handle. The blade can also be reversed to get more use from each blade. The rubber handle is comfortable and provides a solid grip.

Great for little jobs around the house but also for crafters. I’ve been using mine to cut plastic and PVC pipe for my Halloween crafts. The soft handle is easy to grip and prevents slipping. It’s a good size and allows you to get a good grip. It’s a little over 4″. The entire saw is about 12 1/2″ inches. It’s a good weight so it doesn’t cause fatigue when cutting.Comes with a 12″ 1/8″ – 3/8″ metal blade. The saw will accept 10″ or 12″ blades. Changing out the blade is fast and easy. The wingnut keeps the blade secure Keep in mind that that wingnut can get in the way, depending on what you’re cutting. I tried using it to cut out a notch in some wood, rather than dragging out my jigsaw, and the nut only allowed me to go so far as it banged into part of the piece. Not a deal breaker, just something I ran into.Definitely a great tool to have in your tool box.

Solid, well-constructed hacksaw. The grip is very comfortable, and the support mid-blade not only makes the blade very sturdy, but allows for you to get into an even smaller space. The hacksaw accepts standard blades, which is very convenient, and you can also use a 10″ or a 12″, which helps make this hacksaw even more versatile, and able to maneuver into some very small spaces.
