This is a terrific little tool (model 20175S) for those needing excellent torque control on small assemblies. Torque is infinitely adjustable between 0.5 and 6 in-lbs with markings every 0.05 in-lbs on the smooth rotating dial. Markings are etched into the tool, with white-on-blue and white-on-black color schemes for excellent readability. The 20 included driver bits use the standard locking ¼” hex fitting so additional or replacement bits can be found easily. The tool is a joy to use – very comfortable to hold with knurled rings for torque adjustment and the locking mechanism. Its all-metal construction gives it nice heft without bulk, and it just oozes quality construction. The unit and bits come in a solid plastic storage case, and if I made one improvement it would be to the way the bit holders sit in the case. The two holders, each storing 10 bits, pop into and out of the case, rather than rotating around an axle rod inside the case, and the fit is tight. It’s a very small nuisance though. The unit comes with a calibration certificate, and the manual states the calibration is good for 5000 clicks of the torque mechanism or 1 year, whichever comes sooner. Unfortunately, my certificate is dated August of 2017; since I just got the tool in May of 2018 I only have 3 months of “certified” calibration. The price of the unit is very competitive with other high-quality units in this torque range, especially given the infinite adjustability (cheaper units may adjust in 0.5 in-lb steps). A wonderful tool.

A very good torque screwdriver. All metal construction. Perfect for precision hobby work. I gave it to a friend who uses it for his high end helicopters and drones. Calbirated in accordance with ASME B107.300 & ISO 6789 standards. Accurate to within +_ 6% CWThe bits are high quality so slipping isn’t really an issue. The bits fit in the shaft really snug. There is a small ball bearing holding them in. Be sure to push the bit in past this bearing for a really snug fit. Not so tight you can’t pull them out easily. Any standard 1/4″ hex bit will fit. for my small short bits I need a pliers to pull them out. comes with a nice carrying case. the user guide has a simple reference chart and conversion chart between all the standard units. The scale is easy to read and easy to use. A simple twist of the collar locks and unlocks the setting.
