The Capri Tools bit sockets are made for the most demanding professionals. Each of our bit sockets is made from custom forged steel that underwent a proprietary heat treatment process and precisely machined to perform in toughest situations. Premium S2 steel forged bits (12 mm and below) are exceptionally strong and durable. They withstand high torque and do not twist, protecting both the bit and the fastener. The largest bits (14 mm and above) are forged with custom Chrome Vanadium steel, giving these large bits balanced tensile strength for optimal performance. The bits are made true-to-size for their entire length, letting you use the full length of the bit. All bits feature chamfered end to ensure a smooth fit onto fasteners. The sockets are constructed with premium Chrome Vanadium steel and plated with our own chrome protective plating. They are durable and resist corrosion. The bits come installed on our premium double-sided socket rail to keep the socket bits securely organized. Meets and exceeds ASME B107.110 standards. Set includes (14) hex bit sockets in metric: 1/4 in. drive: 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5, 6 mm, 3/8 in. drive: 7, 8, 9, 10 mm, 1/2 in. drive: 12, 14, 17, 19 mm.

Absolutely the best set of sockets I own. I have just moved into a new home and since not too many pieces of furniture come already assembled, I was getting pretty tired of the small metrics that came with each piece. Twisting and twisting made my hands sore and I never felt like anything was tight enough. I have used quite a few of these sockets already, not just to put new things together, but also to tighten up things I already assembled. The set contains 6 pieces for the 1/4″ drive, 4 pieces for the 3/8″ drive and 4 pieces for the 1/2″ drive and they all sit on a handy, sturdy shelf. I’ve even used the smallest hex bit for a small piece on a wheel barrow handle that I have struggled to tighten. I’ve unzipped the covers for the chair legs and finally tightened the legs enough to make them sturdy. Honestly, the list goes on. It is a very nice set and I am tossing the old mess of ones that I have in my tool box.

Anyone who works on vehicles or almost any engine produced today is using metric fasteners or thr torx bolt designs. If you have gotten tired of you hex bit not fitting the bolt or cap screw you need to upgrade to a metric set that will actually fit the fasteners your working on. These hex bits are made of a well hardened steel., that will actually hold up to those hours you’ll need them to work.
