The Capri Tools 88-Piece Master Bit Socket Set is a complete collection of most frequently used bit sockets. We use premium S2 steel tempered with our proprietary heat treatment process to make these bits (other than 1/2 in. drive hex bits 9/16 in. / 14 mm and above). They are exceptionally durable and strong, withstand high torque and do not twist, protecting both the bit and the fastener. The 1/2 in. drive hex bits 9/16 in. / 14 mm and above are forged with our custom Chrome Vanadium steel, giving them a balance tensile strength for optimal performance. The sockets are constructed with premium Chrome Vanadium steel and plated with our own chrome protective plating – durable and resist corrosion. We made all of our hex bits true-to-size for their entire length, letting you use the full length of the hex bit. Chamfered end ensures a smooth fit onto fasteners. 88-piece set includes (13) external star sockets, (15) star bit sockets, (15) long star bit sockets, (16) hex bit sockets in metric, (7) long hex bit sockets in metric, (15) hex bit sockets in SAE, (7) long hex bit sockets in SAE. Meets and exceeds ASME B107.110 standards.

This set of Capri Tools Master Bit Socket Set (88-Piece) puts me into quite a quandary. On one hand, from what I have put a few of these bits through on the abuse test, I haven’t broke any yet, so the are pretty solidly made. On the other hand, in all of the years doing, what I have been doing, I haven’t used some of the socket bits in this set, ever. So I am not sure if I could say that they are the most used bits, for me, no. But ,what is very cool, is that they are made true-to-size for the entire length. What that mean is, should you break the tip off, which happens. Just grind the broken tip back to good meat and keep on using it. Well designed in that aspect.But personally, unless you are in a trade, where you think that you would or could make good use of this assortment, it is a little pricey just to have the set. But if you are in a trade that would make good use of this assortment, I don’t think that you will be disappointed.

The bits are heat treated S2 and CR-V steel bits, making them strong, durable, and reliable. The bits are true-to-size, rather than tapered, to allow for maximum use even in tight spaces.This set comes with hex bit sockets, long hex bit sockets, star bit sockets, long star bit sockets, and star sockets – all in 1/4″, 3/8″, and 1/2″ drive size. The hex bolt sockets also come in both inch and mm sizes.The convenient carry case provides durable storage and transport, while laying out the bits in an easy to use and organized design. The bits themselves, as well as the carrying case, are both stamped with the sizes, making finding the right bit for your project easy and convenient. This also allows you to put bits back where they go if you are using more than 1 on your project.I would highly recommend this set to anyone looking for a nice set of sockets to tackle any project. It’s a well-rounded set and I can’t think of anything it is missing!
