The Capri Tools Impact Adapter and Reducer set instantly extends the capabilities of your powered impact drivers, letting you use sockets that have driven sizes different from your powered drivers. We use premium Chrome Molybdenum steel tempered with our proprietary heat treatment process to make these impact adapters. They are durable and specifically made to withstand high torque from power tools. Each item is expertly coated with manganese phosphate, the preferred coating in military and aerospace, which offers superior protection and corrosion resistance compared to black oxide coating on other impact adapters. Spring-loaded ball detent holds sockets securely in place. Meets and exceeds ASME B107.110 standards. This set includes: Four impact adapters and reducers: a 1/4 to 3/8 in. drive impact adapter, a 3/8 to 1/4 in. drive impact reducer, a 3/8 to 1/2 in. drive impact adapter, and a 1/2 to 3/8 in. drive impact reducer.

The Capri Four Piece Impact Adapter and Reducer set is a well made and must for anyone tool box. The set comes fully equipped to handle any combination with 1/4″ to 3/8″, 3/8″ to 1/4″, 3/8″ to 1/2″ and 1/2″ to 3/8″. The adapters are well made of premium Chrome Molybdenum steel. The come ready to use in your impact tool and have a limited lifetime warranty. All in all the kit appears to be made for heavy duty use an should last you a lifetime.

I can’t tell you how much I love this set! There is EVERY possible combination of reducer here. If you want to drive a 1/2 socket from a 1/8 ratchet, you CAN!! Not that you probably would, but you could. What I really appreciate is that these are impact sockets. I can use these with my impact wrench without worry. I’ve already used them quite a bit to adapt my 1/2 drive torque wrench to smaller sockets. Working on cars, you find this scenario quite a bit. Go get these, they are essential!

This adapter set is a must have if you use air tools. They feel like professional tools and will probably last a long time. I’ve used the 3/8 to 1/2 adapter several times to apply low to mid torque and it performed great. I have not yet used these to apply high torque, so I am not sure on how well they will perform, but it seems like they may hold up ok. For the price you pay for these it is hard to beat it. If they break under hight torque, buy a new set.

You can pretty much go from any size to any other size with this reducer set. The tempered steel seems as strong as it should be for impact guns, in fact probably stronger than you’d ever need if using the 38″ and 1/4″ adapters. The packaging is cute and all but not so great for adding to the tool collection. Would be better in a hard plastic case or have them stuck onto a metal strip of some kind. Overall I’d recommend them, especially for the 1/2″ to 3/8″ adapter and having the ability to go all the way down to 1/4″ if needed.

This is a nice set of heavy duty impact adapters. You get 4 pieces total, including a 3/8″ to 1/4″ adapter, 1/4″ to 3/8″ adapter, 3/8″ to 1/2″ adapter, and a 1/2″ to 3/8″ adapter Depending on how you connect them together it looks like you can create any combination you need. Need to go from a 1/2″ driver to a 1/4″ socket? Well, I don’t recommend it but it can be done by connecting two of the adapters together. And vice-versa you can go from a 1/4″ driver to a 1/2″ socket. All of them are made of Chro-moly steel and they’re sizes are engraved on the sides. They lock together very tightly if you align them correctly.They’re shipped in a black plastic tray, that won’t win any awards for durability but it’s good enough to sit inside a tool box drawer and keep them from rolling around.I think I’ll just throw out my standard el cheapo ones and use these from now on.
