The Capri Tools 3/8 in. Drive Wobble Impact Extension Bar is two tools in one. It can be used as a wobble extension bar when an offset clearance is needed or as a regular rigid extension bar. The wobble feature enables you to reach and turn fasteners that are obstructed and can only be reached at an angle. It allows up to 15° offset. Spring-loaded ball detent holds sockets securely in place. When fully inserted (not at an angle), the extension bar locks into a regular rigid extension bar. These extension bars are constructed of premium Chrome Molybdenum steel tempered with our proprietary heat treatment process to withstand more torque from power tools. Expertly coated with manganese phosphate, the preferred coating in military and aerospace, which offers superior protection and corrosion resistance compared to black oxide coating on other impact tools. Three 3/8 in. drive wobble impact extension bars are included in the set: 3, 6 and 12 in. long.

I used this set when I replaced all the shocks and struts on my car. There are several places on my car where you can’t quite get a solid fitment onto the bolt head with a regular extension. In those instances, this set removes the situations where you have to decide if you want either a rounded nut or a busted knuckle. I know this because I used my standard extension on one side and busted my hand when the socket slipped off. On the other side, I used the Wobble Extension and it felt completely secure. 15 degrees of tilt doesn’t seem like a lot, but on my car it’s all I’ll ever need. Before you buy a complete set of extensions and matching universal joints for reaching into those awkward spots, get a set of Wobble extensions first. If you need more extreme angles you can still use the wobble extensions with any other adapter so there is no reason not to go with these instead.

This wobble impact extension bar set is excellent. It appears to be made from very high quality steel. There are three different length extensions, 3 inch, 6 inch, and 12 inch. I don’t always have a reason to use an extension on my air powered impact driver, but when I find that I need one, it’s almost always where I need to be able to get a little bit of movement with the extension to get the impact driver where I can comfortably use it. These wobble extensions allow you to do just that, as they offer you 15 degrees in any direction. I like them.

Wobble impact extensions are, in my opinion, the fastest way to remove transmission and transaxle fasteners. These will also be of great value to me the next time I am replacing a diesel injection pump or air compressor on any of the big three diesel manufactures engines. There are many other areas where these excel over traditional extensions and I find myself grabbing the impact vs. chrome extensions more often than not.I have a set of impact wobble sockets and while connected to the end of one on these extensions there doesn’t seem to be an odd angle I can’t adjust to. I mostly work on heavy equipment and OTR trucks but I repair and replace a lot of transmissions for friends and family. These compliment my 1/2″ and 3/4″ extensions well and should hold up (with proper use) for a very long time. They came nicely packaged in a plastic tray and lightly coated in oil to prevent rust. Capri Tools offers a limited lifetime warranty on these tools which is always appreciated. They look and feel like they were crafted with pride instead of just taken off the forge and sent down the line with minimal work or cleanup. The coating is uniform and they have a nice (I assume) laser etched marking at the base of the extension.

This Extension set is well worth the money. I used them while working on the planter getting ready for spring field work. I did however use my Ryobi 1/2″ drive cordless impact with the 3/8″ drive adapter on. These extensions are very strong and durable. I had no problems at all. The wobble is great for getting in tight spots where the fastener is tight and has to be tight. Well worth the money.

Wobble extensions are one of my favorite things ever. I work on motorcycle engines in tight, constrained places. Sometimes instead of tearing down the whole bike you can get to the pieces you need with the right tool and I the ability to wobble onto a nut is perfect.Things I like about these1.) Set of three good lengths give me the right extension for the job2.) The wobble feels bigger than my other set3.) Knowing these can take the harshness of an impact makes be feel more comfortable abusing them4.) Plastic case is perfect for adding to my tool drawer and keeping them in one place
