It works really well. I wish I’d known about it before.

My old fashioned wire strippers with several fixed cutting sizes were getting a bit dull after years of use and the idea owning a pair that would gauge the wire thickness automatically appealed to me. This tool will cut wire up to 12 AWG and strip insulation from wire of 10 to 24 AWG.The tool is easy and comfortable to hold and there is a button at the back which locks the tool in a compact manner for easy storage. At the business end there is an adjustable stop in the mouth of the tool and this enables insulation to be stripped between 3/8” and 1/2” (8 to 12 mm). In operation the tool is easy to use, just place the wire into the jaws and squeeze the trigger, the insulation is efficiently cut and removed. The tool is made of black plastic and the lock button and stripping stop are bright blue and easily visible.I tried the stripper on several common household wire types that I use from fine speaker wire to heavy duty kettle lead to domestic mains electrical circuit wire and the stripper worked easily on all types and sizes including solid and stranded wire. Impressively, the tool comes with a ten year warranty as well. For what I use a wire stripper for this tool cannot be faulted.

They work really good in tight places! They strip small wires without breaking to many strands. The all plastic construction worry me about the lifespan of the tool. And the length of the wire strip gauge is very limited. But for reaching into a dash with short wires they have worked great so far!

Great idea, not as reliable as I’d hoped. Sometimes it doesn’t cut cleanly, and I have to turn it 90 degrees and repeat. Sometimes is shreds the insulation by pulling/scraping without cutting all the way through. When it works, it’s fantastic!

They broke 3 weeks into usage, but I did strip over 20,000 peices of wire. Not bad!

It actually worked no matter what size wire I was using in the household type wiring Tool was a time saver

Pretty good for the price. Maybe not for heavy duty but works just fine with regular wires.

This is a great little wire stripper to have handy. It’s faster and much more convenient than the traditional wire strippers. Fit the wire in, squeeze, and boom you are in business. It’s can’t be easier than this. And it’s a godsend for narrow spots too! For 15 bucks this is a must have.

Great wire stripping tool I use it for electronics very small wire gauges which can be very difficult to strip because of there sizes it works perfect it can do bigger gauges but I bought it for small wires and am very happy using it I am glad I bought it.John

This tool made the job easier, i was using a more bulkier wire stripper, this one is lightweight and made job easier and faster thanks

It’s a great tool for the price, however about half the time, the insulation stripped from the wire gets stuck in the upper portion of the mechanism. I had to keep a tweezers on hand to remove the tiny plastic pieces before I could strip my next wire. When you have to do a LOT of them in a row, constantly focusing on this is a bit of a hassle, but otherwise, it works well.

I’ve only used this tool for rewiring my trailer. Can’t talk about long term or heavy duty use but I’m tickled with my experience so far.

These strippers make short work of almost any wire you need to strip. They sure beat the old fashioned strippers!

I have only used it once since it arrived, It works.

I ran the stripper through some wire I had around the house- 24 gauge solid copper: stripped cleanly- 22-2 stranded speaker wire: able to strip cleanly cleanly. I accidentally found it could do a clean strip of both conductor at the same time.- Real challenge: 22-2 shielded twisted pair. Stripper, tore off the shielding foil, but preserved the twisted pair and stranded ground wire.- 12 gauge solid copper: strips cleanly, but the cutter can’t cut it as promised. Cutter managed to penetrate the insulation and about 1/3 of the wire diameter.- 10-2 stranded thick insulation outdoor low voltage lighting wire. As expected, it wouldn’t fit into the cutter, but the stripper still works well. The Smart Lock is only useful for storage. Difficult to operate with one hand. The auto-adjust feature works well. No detectable conductor nicks in the wires I tried.Slider allows you to set your strip length from 8-12mm. It’s also removable if you need longer lengths. To simulate what happens when I’m wiring a ceiling fixture, I dropped the strippers 10 times from a height of 7 ft. Five times with the strippers open and 5 times with the lock engaged. No damage done. Strippers still worked as well as before. The locked strippers unlocked during every drop.I really appreciate the safety warning on the back of the package. It says to read all instructions before using. Not that they are needed, but the instructions that are there are very limited. These strippers are lightweight, comfortable to use and work well in tight spaces. This would be my go-to tool for wiring if only it could cut 12 gauge solid copper as advertised. The strippers are good for light-duty stripping, but forget about these if you need to do house wiring.
