Good qualityGreat craftsmanship. This is no Regular “click” type of torque wrench. It works differently.I wish it was explained on the instructions. It kind of “bends” but can not hear a clear click.Other than that excellent product.

I ordered it for the higher torque setting.worked out well

I received this product for free for the purpose of reviewing. This is my first time using a torque wrench. Over the years I have just used gut feeling despite what the instructions say. I never wanted to spend the money on a torque wrench. Now having used a torque wrench on my bicycle where instructed, my natural reaction is to just use feel for convenience instead of using the torque wrench. It is hard to change bad habits. There is a single click when your reach the torque setting. The wrench doesn’t actually stop you from tightening further.Other note. This is a 1/4 inch drive. A 3/8″ drive would be better suited for most of my tasks.

Great Tool! It is very similar to the ones I used in the military many years ago.

Build quality is great, click action is solid, and I didn’t have any problem adjusting it to max torque setting unlike some other reviews. Only downside is the case is over-sized so the wrench slides back and forth, but I fixed by placing some foam core in the empty space.

This torque wrench is a 1/4 inch drive wrench that can be used to torque items between 20 and 245 inch pounds (or 2.3 to 27.7 Newton meters if you use that measurement). If you buy this wrench, make sure you understand it measures “inch pounds”, not “foot pounds”. If you’re looking for heavier duty uses, this is not the wrench for you. You can use this wrench with 1/4 inch drive sockets which are not included. The wrench comes in a well made plastic case which helps protect the wrench when not in use. The wrench has two scales listed on the handle; one for inch pounds and one for Newton meters. You adjust the setting by loosening the locking screw at the base of the handle and turning the handle to the desired setting. The wrench can be set in increments of 1 inch pound. You then tighten the locking screw. When I first used the wrench, I was not noticing the click to indicate the bolt was at the desired torque. I then realized that the “click” was happening but it was much more subtle than my current torque wrench. It’s important to realize the “click” is subtle so you don’t end up using too much torque. I don’t have any ability to test the accuracy of the torque so I’m assuming it is accurate to +/- 4% which the packaging indicates. Overall, this seems like a good torque wrench for lighter uses.

Everything about this wrench is rough. The machining on the head and handle is rough, the threads are very rough – it feels and sounds like metal on metal when turning the handle – and the ratchet mechanism is rough. The numbers are hard to read in plain daylight. It comes with an o-ring sitting loosely around the neck. I thought it was supposed to go inside the body, but all the pictures show it just sitting there, which is a mystery. The torque indicator is a simple breakaway, and it is gradual; there is no positive click or release. If you are not paying attention, you can easily miss the target. At the low end, it barely engages at the 20 in-lb mark. However, despite all that, it is functional. I measured 18.0 in-lbs at the 20 in-lb setting; 117 in-lbs at the 120 in-lb setting; and 205 in-lbs at the 200 in-lb setting. That’s 2-1/2 % at the higher ranges, and 10% at the lowest setting. Now, at the lowest setting, it’s off by 10%, which is outside the rated spec of 4%, but 18 in-lbs is close enough to be practical for general mechanic work.I repeated the tests after tightening several dozen fasteners, and got nearly the same results. I would feel ok using this on things like valve cover bolts and other non-critical applications. Bottom line, although it doesn’t feel like a quality tool, it does the job as intended.

I was not sure it was working; so I tested it against a digital torque adapter; and it passed with flying colors.

Works as designed. Good price. Fast delivery. Satisfied.

Solid construction, easy to use. Hard shell case included. Click is much softer than a 1/2” drive torque wrench so be sure to get acclimated first.

Perfect for my needs. Most 1/4″ drive racheting torque wrenches only go up to 200 in/lbs.My application calls for a torque value of 216 in/lbs and has to be accessable to very tight spaces.

Light use assembling a bicycle. Worked fine. N-M scale is not as easy to read as in-lb scale.

Very happy with function & price. Have used inch pound torque wrenches for years in my job and this one performs as well as the wrenches at work that cost 5 times as much. I’ll just have to wait to see how well it holds up with prolonged use. Will update review if necessary.

It works, you get the quality you pay for, so…it is somewhat rough when making adjustments, but for only occasional usage it will suffice .

On the lower end of the torque range the click is very light when the desired torque is reached. However, In the lower torque range I am not doing heavy wrenching, so I went by feel and the click. I bought this tool to do maintenance work on my Harley and it has done a great job. A quality made torque wrench that comes with a calibration certificate. The only problem that I have is that the case it comes in is to large. It appears that the case was made for the 3/8 in torque wrench, and they made a modification to fit the 1/4 in torque wrench. The wrench can slide around inside the case. It is for that reason I gave it a 4 star rating.
