This Diamond Series torque wrench by Capri Tools features a diamond contour grip design that combines an ergonomic sure-grip and a lightweight impact resistant construction. The diamond contour grip is designed for a comfortable and steady hold. The handle is made of premium impact resistant materials which is 30% lighter than traditional torque wrench handles. Our spring loaded pull down ring and specially engineered ultra smooth torque dialing help you switch torque settings on the fly: simply pull down the ring, turn the handle, and release the ring. The positive lock mechanism secures the torque setting in place while you work. The quick release button helps you easily switch between bits and sockets. The engraved ft. lb. and newton meter dual scale provides a vivid and clear reading of the torque setting. Torque setting is available anywhere between 10 ft. lbs.- 80 ft. lbs. or 17-105.1 newton meters, with torque tolerance at +/- 4%. Each one of our torque wrenches comes with a NIST traceable certificate of calibration, calibrated in accordance with ASME B107.300-2010 and ISO 6789:2003 standards. Comes with custom fitted high-impact case for storage.

I got this because I did not want to use my 1/2 drive Electronic Kobalt torque wrench when changing out my spark plugs on my Dodge Challenger R/T. This 3/8 was smaller and since I only had to torque to 13 lbs I figured I would give it a try. My car takes 2 on each cylinder so 16 total. The wrench seemed to work great on the first 8, I felt a solid click when it reached 13lbs. After that it seemed to not work as well and I never felt a solid click and I was actually putting to much torque on them because it just kept fighting down. So after a few try’s of trying to re-torque the same plug I gave up and just used my 1/2 inch drive wrench. I’m giving it 3 stars because it seems like it’s a good product and it’s built solid and it may work better with something that requires a higher torque spec than 13 lbs. For the price I feel like it was still a good purchase.

Easy to use and I have confidence in the calibration certificate that comes with it. My previous experience is only with a 1/2 inch drive which was a dial read. With my acquisition of an MGB it is apparent there are many 3/8 inch drive requirements so I am very happy to have added the Capri Tools torque wrench to my collection. I was also glad that delivery was very fast.
