The Capri 1/4-inch drive torque wrench is a must have for your tool box. If you do any small engine, motorcycle, ATV, or even regular auto maintenance, this wrench will make sure fasteners are properly torqued to the right specifications.Just about every repair manual includes proper torque specifications. There is no way to make sure parts are properly installed with accurately measuring these torques. This wrench can reach across many fields of repair and insure you have installed the fastener or part at the right recommend torque. The wrench comes with a really nice case to protect from damage. The gauge is in both SAE and Metric measurements.

Good weight for it’s size. Don’t know if the included torque tests results are generic or specific to the wrench I purchased. However, the machine I use it on has a 15%+/- torque tolerance and the included torque tests indicated less than 5% variance for the setpoint tested. At these low values, I use it to avoid over tightening the small bolts/screws.

This is a solid, easy to use torque wrench. Comes in a handy (if a bit over-sized case) and also includes the calibration certification sheet plus some basic instructions. Finish on the tool appears excellent and should hold up for years to come. The tool is easy to use. The lock ring locks your settings in place. I found that it pulls down a bit too easily, which could result in accidentally losing adjustment. Wish the spring was a little stronger! As far as usage goes, once you tighten a fastener to your desired torque setting, the tool makes a very pronounced click.A great tool to have, especially for small jobs that require little torque. Keep in mind that 150 in-lbs converts to 12.49 ft-lbs.

It’s a nice little torque wrench having a torque range that overlaps many 3/8 drive wrenches. It’s about the length of a 1/4 drive ratchet, and that’s a plus. Then comes the accuracy. The unit is advertised to be 3% accurate across the torque range. Mine came with a calibration certificate showing accuracies of 0.3% at 30 in-lbs, 1.2% at 90 in-lbs, and 0.4% at 150 in-lbs. Well that’s even better… until I performed my own calibration: trust but verify. My measurement uncertainty is 0.5%. The unit is within advertised specs from 70 in-lbs up, and it can be set up to 159 in-lbs. Below 70 in-lbs, it is much less accurate than advertised. The error is very linear, so my calibration curve should work. Still, I don’t like the bogus calibration certificate or the bogus accuracy claims. A torque wrench this expensive should be better, and meet advertised claims. My wrenches from other brands do.

Nice feel. nice fit and finish. Adjustment is smooth. Comes with calibration certificate and plastic storage box.The design of this 1/4-inch drive torque wrench is very much like the “classic” snap-on 1/2-inch drive torque wrench. Most of the other 1/4-inch drive torque wrenches I’ve tried were stiff to adjust, or didn’t have a good feel to them. This is a nice tool to work with, and important for smaller fasteners. The claimed clockwise accuracy was plus or minus 3% for clockwise, and my calibration certificate shows every value was within 0.5%! Pretty awesome! I got lucky I guess 😉 The claimed counter-clockwise accuracy is 5%, and the worst reading was off by 3.3%. Not bad, either. My one small complaint is that these things are supposed to get recalibrated every year or 5000 uses, and the calibration certificate is dated about 3 months before I bought it, so if you work someplace where you have to keep a calibrated tool, your first calibration may end up being a little sooner than you would like.

this appears to be a high Zoot, precision piece of equipment. It is manufactured in such a way as to indicate precision. when adjusting the torque setting, it feels almost like a micrometer. sorry to say, nothing to check the calibration on, but the torque setting does increase as one would expect.

I got exactly what I wanted. A wrench to cover the lower end of the torque spectrum. It came in full working order and in a hard case. The calibration certificate was included along with complete instructions. I have used the torque wrench 3 times already and I have only had it about 2 weeks. The only thing I need help seeing are the numbers when setting the torque but that’s OK. My glasses help me read the numbers just fine.

I am small engine mechanic . and have been for a long time . With the cost on new motor, i have to rebuild these motors. With the amount of torque i need to replace valve covers, heads , fuel pumps and many more parts . You need a good reliable Torque Wrench this torque wrench is small, about 20 in long . great size to fit in tight spots. i hope you notice this torque wrench is inch pounds. So 12 inch pounds Equal 1 foot pound This torque Wrench go up to 150 inch LBS so the max this wrench can do is 12.5 Foot pounds. So for me this is a great tool to have and a must. I can see its very well built so i know its going to last.
