This board is bigger than you would think. I was kind of hoping it would be a little smaller, I didn’t tread the sizes before hand. I bought it for my boyfriend’s birthday, as he’s been looking for a good butcher block. He was really happy with the quality of the block. It’s HEAVY. About 40lbs. Overall really good.

I have been looking for a good cutting board for years. This is the one!! It weighs in at about 35 pounds. It is truly a “Super Slab”! This is a board that you leave out on your counter all the time. Home Depot had the best price of anyone..including the actual Catskill Website. Everyone who has seen the board has fallen in love with it immediately. Please note that you are instructed to pre-condition the board before using it with their product (which they fail to provide) or mineral oil. I thought they could have at least provide the very small amount that it would take to pre-condition it. I could not use it the day I got it because I did not have mineral oil in the house. (I wanted to make sure I followed their instructions)

This an awesome cutting board. It s beautiful and well made. The only reason fro the 4 star rather than 5 star is the color. The photos in the add have a warm yellow hue but the board is actually more of a reddish hue. That may not be a problem but I needed that color to match my other block 🙁
