This was purchased as a gift. I was so pleased when it arrived. I think it is beautiful. I asked myself, “Why don’t I have one of these?”. I did oil it but, it was already to go it didn’t really need additional oil. The juice groove is nice and large, it should catch all juice well. The recipient told me it was too nice to chop on, but was looking forward to using it. We are all please with this purchase.
