I should have gotten some of these a long time ago. I always used large pliers on large PVC pipe fittings and even oil filters. This makes it much easier. Get the tool for the job.

Better design then both my professional brands. Both are rarely used since this purchase as the channellock has shorter grips that don’t interfere with structure surrounding the filter, allowing a longer turning radius. Quality is same and grip material is actually better than one professional brand when it comes to constant contact with oil. One last feature is the angle put into the head, some brands are straight which forces users hands to be higher in the engine area with obstruction instead of below in open area. Very well thought out design, and a qtr the price of my Matco set. Definitely top pick for pro mechanic using daily.
