Had an old Craftsman set for 40 years. I used them to pull small trim nails from the backside of molding. Lost them. Looked everywhere. Devastated. Wanted a set just like the ones I had. These were just a tad bit heavier but you could tell they were nice. My old ones were as smooth as could be with all the years on them. These new ones were tight. Hmmmmmm. I opened and closed them for about 15 minutes or so. No kidding. All of the sudden they went smooth as silk. Not sure but I think they had some kind of clear coating on them to keep them pretty. Very happy now. Was just about ready to return them. Main thing about these. 100% made in the USA. Materials, labor, EVERYTHING!! They cost twice as much as the “china” made ones but at least I am helping to keep a job here.
