The quality of the tool seems to be fine (did not get to actually use). My issue is the misleading jaw capacity specification (4.25 inches). The actual, real world jaw capacity (jaws open parallel to each other) is about 3 1/2 inches. The filter housing we were trying to grip was approx. 4 inches in across, so this pair would not work. This product was ordered online, for local in store pickup, based on the manufacturer’s specifications. I returned this tool. The 20″ pliers were not stocked in the store. We ended up buying a comparable 20″ pliers, by another brand, at another retailer.

Opted for this multi-use tool to remove toilet discharge lock ring. A dedicated lock ring tool would have been cheaper, but wanted a tool for other uses. Channel locks are top quality. In fact, this will compliment the 30 year old, 12-inch version handed down to me from my father.
