Still made in the USA, and still outstanding. I am not exactly sure how long our family has been using Channellocks, but it is at least five generations. They are great tools that seem to last forever. This Channellock GS-6 set is pretty versatile and capable of a relatively broad range of tasks. There are a couple of things I noticed about this set. First, the current HD description says you get the 420 tongue and groove plier. They are actually the 430 plier. These tongue and groove pliers are what I think of when I hear the name Channellock. They are fantastic tools to have and use. The other two pliers are not ones that I have had experience with from this brand. They appear to be as good as any other product from Channellock. The cutting plier jaws meet precisely and easily cut paper. That is close enough for anything I will ever use them for. The Jaws of the long nose pliers Converge at the tips. If the jaws were parallel, you could not apply as wide a range of pressures at the tip of the tool. The converging tips are exactly what I would want in pliers of this size…they are not meant to be fine tweezers!Overall, this set of made in the USA Channellock pliers are still the same tough, durable and dependable tools we have used for decades.

I’m not sure what more there is to say about this Channellock 3-PC Plier Set that everyone doesn’t already know. When you buy Channellock tools, you know you’re getting high quality, sturdy, long-performing tools. Don’t get me wrong, they’re expensive compared other brands, and there are certainly cheaper versions out there, but you get what you pay for. I’ve had several Channellock tools over the years and I can tell you that they’re still my go-to in tool chest because they still work, vs some of my others that have worn out and are only a few years old. The 10 inch Tongue and Groove Pliers grip well, and unlike several of the off-brand pairs that I have, these lock into place and you don’t have to worry about them moving out of position. The 7 inch Needle Nose grip tight at the tip (this is always a sticking point for a good pair of needle nose) and cut well at the base. The gap tapers to zero at the end. The Cutters work great as well. It doesn’t take much pressure to get through what your snipping or cutting, they handled tie wire and chicken wire without any hassle whatsoever. And most of all, the handles are comfortable. Some tools give you big bulky handles to give you better grip or leverage when using their product, but these handles are sleek and easy on the hands, mostly because you don’t need all that extra leverage to handle them. These tools perform and I choose Channellock whenever possible.

We were amazed at the timing of the arrival as this morning while running the garbage disposal it came off. After cleaning up the mess and removing all the stuff we needed the channel lock to help tighten the disposal. We have to say that these worked very well and are looking forward to using the long nose as well as the cutters. Nice handles and weight.

These seem to be the standard run of the mill adjustable pliers, cutters and long nose pliers. The kind you may find in your grandfather’s tool chest that has worked well over time. The grips are the standard thin plastic. They are not built for extra comfort. The teeth in the slip joint pliers are fairly deep and gripping. The cutters worked well in cutting away at some old barbed wire. The long nose pliers standard with wire cutters near the joint. The price point of these seem competitive to other brands. They are solidly built and a nice addition to any tool box.

This is a typical high quality set as we have come to expect from CHANNELLOCK. This set includes 10” adjustable pliers, 8” needle nose pliers, and 7” side cutters. The 10” pliers are 10” when closed to the tightest position. They open up to at least 2” with the jaws still parallel. These seem to be the standard for tradesmen. We have them in the trucks and at a few customers shops and I needed another set for home. Excellent grip and low flex. The 8” needle nose pliers have a nice wire cutter near the throat. They offer surprising grip at the very tip without flexing so you can firmly grasp hard to reach fasteners. These seem better than other brands I have tried. The 7” side cutters are sharp and have almost no flex. Highly recommend!Hope this helps.

This three piece set is a no brainer to get. I do alot of work on Halloween props and I am always in need of these three. The 7 inch diagonal cutters are a must when working with wires or cutting zip ties. The 7 1/2 inch long nose pliers come in handy when you need to reach in somewhere where your fingers just can’t fit. I like the 10 inch channellock tongue and groove pliers because I can really get a tight grip with the adjustable settings. Can’t go wrong with the Channellock brand!

Have you ever ask someone to grab your tongue and groove adjustable pliars from your toolbox? No, you say grab me the channellocks. When a class of an item becomes known as it’s brand name, you know you got the right one. These are the right ones. The adjustable pliars feel every bit as beefy and capable as the ones I’ve been using for 30 years, however these appear to be epoxy coated to stave off rust a bit better.This is a great set that has the sizes and tools used most often. Keep these in the roll away drawer and keep the generic ones on the peg board to loan out.

This set of Channel lock pipe and bolt set and pliers and cutters are really decent american made tools so i got this kit to replace a rusted out kit from years ago a good refresh for my tool box. in using them i found them heavy duty for use in my current light pole construction in cutting ground wires to size and bending the ground wire to mount to ground rod and adjusting bolts and nuts for the led lights mast arm mount bracket so this is an upgrade for my tool bag. made well heavy duty and comfortable to use

Thank you Channel Lock for making quality-made American tools.This is a great set of pliers of different kinds, one that pretty much any adult needs to own. The 7in diagonal cutting pliers will cut most types of smaller-diameter wire you will encounter in home construction and automotive use. Other materials also. The 8in needle nose pliers will grab anything you need, twist and pull and cut small diameter wire. The 10in tongue and groove pliers will grab onto anything within its 2in capacity firmly. Pipe, wire, plate, you name it. Laser heat-treated edges, forged high-quality steel bodies, precision machined, and with handles dipped in the classic blue comfort grips. You can’t hardly improve on a classic design. Anyone who uses their hands for a living needs this set. I have had individual versions of these tools for decades and beat on them every day in commercial construction settings and they are as sturdy as the day I bought them. You won’t be disappointed.

Hands down, the finest pair of pliers one will use. Channel Lock brand is one of the leading brands for industrial maintenance use, and contractors. Ive been an industrial mechanic for 25yrs now. The Fortune 500 company I work for, relies on Channel Lock tools day and day out. I use most sizes of the actual Channel Lock pliers at work every week. We would be lost without this brand at work. The pliers in this set are most useful for tightening and loosening all types of pipe fittings, and pipe in general. The diagonal cutters are awesome for cutting wire. I actually use this exact pair of diagonal cutters at work for removing keys out of shafts at work. Now the needle nose pliers are perfect for reaching into tight spots where regular piers can’t reach. They are also great for removing retaining rings. and cotter pins and smaller retaining objects. The quality of the Channellock’s name continues in this set of tools. The set comes in a sturdy tamper resistant package so I know the tools have not been tampered with. If this were a gift it would be easy to wrap. The Tongue and Groove tool will be used for the occasional plumbing project around my home and where tightening and loosening hex nuts as needed. I really like channel lock tools and I have been using them for a long time. Some of my adjustable wrenches are over 20 years old and still going strong, and the grips are still intact.These are built the same way. Actually made in the USA! As an electrician my only suggestion would be to make the cutting jaw on the needle nose pliers a little wider to handle 12-3 and 14-3 romex. The adjustable wrench in this set is good for up to 1 1/2 inch trade size fittings. Pretty handy size. The side cutters seem to work well too.

The thing that I like most about this set is the Channellock 430 tongue and groove pliers. The jaw size is easy to adjust unlike the old tongue and groove pliers that I have that is really hard to adjust. I really like the super durable blue coating on the handles. The larger sized long nose pliers are safer to use than some of the smaller long nose pliers out there. I tested the diagonal cutter by cutting 12 gauge electrical THHN solid copper wire and it worked perfectly. I highly recommend this set if you are looking for professional tools that you plan to keep and use for a long time.
