Love this roller plate. Rectangular shape is better than the round ones. Cream freezes in 1-2 minutes and ready to be scraped into rolls with the 2 scrapers included. I keep it in the freezer so that I can make ice cream whenever I want to. So much fun and such a conversation piece!

Takes practice, not for beginners or impatient kids. It will annoy perfectionists. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING! Item is very interesting and novel, I liked the results after much trying and some improvising, so its not exactly as promised in the ads. I’d give it a 3.5 stars.NOTE: Maybe I didn’t get the roller plate cold enough (but sat in my freezer for 2 weeks and everything else in there is rock solid frozen). However, nothing “rolled up” like the pics show (I had to quickly push food into curl, and keep doing it, with my own tiny spatula), and the result was very good but not great. ALSO: The scraper edge and plate surface weren’t totally flat/even enough to scrape evenly (but close), had to re-freeze plate in-between preparing 4 simple recipes (skip adding the extra sugar–its waaaay overkill in milk recipes unless you like tasting nothing but sugar). Strongly recommend FIRST super chilling ALL ingredients (all of them!), AND add a very chilled metal cookie sheet to cover, and a regular tea towel underneath to prevent skidding on countertop while scraping. Instructions mention the prior chilling of ingredients, no towel, and no cover is included (I improvised with cookie sheet, but since mine wasn’t pre-chilled it didn’t help). Also says to wait 1-2 minutes to work…it took 5-6 minutes while returned to inside my freezer (without cover). Maybe my freezer wasn’t cold enough? But 5+ minutes is better than 5-8 hours without this roller plate! I’m satisfied but its not perfect.
