The HL7 Headlamp gives you the ability to shine an ultra-wide flood beam and then quickly twist the bezel to a long reaching spot beam with transition halo so that you can be ready for anything. With our Variable Light Control Technology onboard you have the ability to adjust the light output with the control lever to any point between the lowest low and the highest high so you can have highly personalized output and runtimes. With Coasts commitment to quality, the HL7 Headlamp is impact resistant, weather resistant and its LED is virtually unbreakable. The HL7 Headlamp is backed by Coasts lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Tested and rated to ANSI/FL1 standards.

Ive used mine work wise from North Slope to South Central Alaska,where Ive worked long evenings for 6 yrs. Several years ago I was cross country skiing in a Blizzard (supposedly a full moon ski).Fellow backcountry skiers wanted to know what kind of headlight I had.Lit up the terrain, like nothing else.There single focus petzles and BD’s(darn good brands) couldn’t touch the H7. I told them it was a Coast brand,North Slope approved(by me), you’ll run thru batts in cold wx(<20 degs),but for the $'s they are the best.

Purchased at Menards on sale for $15. I like that is has 3 batteries so that it stays brighter longer. The adjustable brightness is great and easy to use. The problem is in the straps design. From the first time the strap would not stay on the battery pack. The next day it was the light that kept coming unclipped from the strap. I’ve been using this for about a year now and the light still works good, but every time I use it I have problems with the strap.

This is one great item, that can be used for any projects were adequate lightning is needed, it’s light weight and easy to wear, it has plenty of light range to meet any job. I had my HL7 for about 4 years, i used it quiet a bit. The prong for the battery pack broke so i used the warrenty and they sent out a new one. Well i recieved the gift box, and I’ll tell you what! To my surprise they sent it in a nice package with a bonus knife!! The headlamp was enough, but they threw in a knife, i am so grateful! Great headlamp and great company!

I have been using this Coast variable light control headlight for several years. For my purposes (handyman, daily use) it is the best headlight out there. It is the most practical headlight I have tried. Other lights reduce or increase brightness by multiple clicks of the on button, which is tedious. This Coast headlight has a lever which allows you to control brightness continuously from very low to very bright. This is a very functional and convenient feature. I have not seen any other headlight which has it. You can also easily adjust the beam from spot to flood.
