The FL85R Headlamp is our most potent rechargeable front loaded LED headlamp. The light features our Flex Charge Dual Power system. The Flex Charge feature allows for the rechargeable battery pack to be recharged inside or outside of the headlamp using a micro USB. The Dual Power enables it to run on our custom rechargeable battery pack or standard alkaline batteries. The first button on the headlamp gives you the ability to shine an ultra-wide flood beam and then quickly twist the bezel to a long reaching spot beam with transition halo. The second button on the headlamp enables the user to switch rapidly to a fixed red LED light to preserve night vision. It also includes a reflective safety strap for additional safety benefits. With Coasts commitment to quality, the FL85R Headlamp is impact resistant, weather resistant and its LED is virtually unbreakable. The FL85R Headlamp is backed by Coasts lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Tested and rated to ANSI/FL1 standards.

I bought this head lamp to replace my old one. The light or brightness is fantastic. Definitely the strongest one I’ve had. Plus you can dial in and focus the light to a very narrow concentrated brightness or dial it in to a wider field of light. I also love the rechargeable battery with the USB connection to recharge. All around this is the best there is in my book.

When I got this I had no idea how much I would use it. You put on your head you are hands free and the light it puts out is amazing. The lights went out the other night during a storm it was so great to put on my head and walk around and to be able to see everything. Had to get under sink and it was so great not ya omg yo hold a flashlight or try to place where you need to see.

The FL85R is a great headlamp. Comfortable to wear,not too heavy. Has nice adjustments to direct light right where you need it. I never owned a headlamp before and this is my first purchase. I wanted a high lumen output while staying as small and compact as possible. I found this to be one of the better options, and it performs well. I wish it was brighter,but like I said,the compact size,comfort for the amount of Lumens you get was worth it. I would definitely recommend, and would buy another. A little pricey, but hopefully the durability/longevity will make up for that.

I had this light for six months before it failed. While it worked, it was a pretty good light. It is Super Bright, lasts a Long Time even on High Beam, and the Re-charge feature has saved me Lots of $ on batteries, but it does have one BIG problem. The switch very difficult to use bare-handed, and nearly impossible to find with gloves on. I have used Coast products for 25+ years, and have been well pleased with their products and service. I have no doubt that they will repair or replace my light, but it will still be hard to find the switch.
