The FL85R Headlamp is our most potent rechargeable front loaded LED headlamp. The light features our Flex Charge Dual Power system. The Flex Charge feature allows for the rechargeable battery pack to be recharged inside or outside of the headlamp using a micro USB. The Dual Power enables it to run on our custom rechargeable battery pack or standard alkaline batteries. The first button on the headlamp gives you the ability to shine an ultra-wide flood beam and then quickly twist the bezel to a long reaching spot beam with transition halo. The second button on the headlamp enables the user to switch rapidly to a fixed red LED light to preserve night vision. It also includes a reflective safety strap for additional safety benefits. With Coasts commitment to quality, the FL85R Headlamp is impact resistant, weather resistant and its LED is virtually unbreakable. The FL85R Headlamp is backed by Coasts lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Tested and rated to ANSI/FL1 standards.

Excellent brightness and lens. Battery life of the rechargeable left something lacking. After ~30 minutes of usage the light is visibly more dim and hard to use given the light temperature of the lamp.

I picked up this headlamp to accompany me on my finishing trip down on the Texas coast. The area we fish is literally forty plus miles from civilization, and boy does it get dark at night on the surf. The first thing I appreciated about this lamp was the sheer brightness. I was able to see bait lines more than 75-yards out in the pitch black. The ability to focus the beam is also critical. Awesome functionality.It is also excellent to be able to use only the red lights to avoid blinding my fellow anglers. I would frequently adjust the beam focus, and power to fit my needs.Best headlamp I’ve ever used. Awesome stuff.

Got this headlamp to use during nighttime mountain biking and skiing. This headlamp throws a nice array of light which can be focused to a spot light if desired. Rechargeable battery feature is great – even better that regular batteries can be used in a pinch. Super functional.

I lost my first one. OUCH!I like the light. It’s very light. High output. Easy charge with USB or battery pack’s which are small enough to carry with you. Variable light adjustment. The most comfortable headlamp I have ever had.The only issue I had is the metal conductors attached inside the case for the battery will come unclipped easily and can get bent at this point. I would like to see a better design here.

I am a surgeon and I use this to do procedures in the office. It works great. I only use the brightest setting when the battery has lost some power. I have also used it on home construction projects. I got the extra battery and am never out of power. The power switch is little difficult sometimes. It can be wiped with alcohol, so it is useful with the Wuhan Virus issues we are dealing with.

The headlamp is amazing but that’s not a surprise it’s super bright it’s got good battery life but which stayed out was the customer service that replaced my headlamp with out any hassle when the 1st one burnt out and I received my new 1 in less than a week….
