So far so good! It has lived up to the hype…. I did lots of research and read many reviews – and for the price, this light is it !!! The brightness and toughness is unparalleled for the price and the fact that it runs on AA is a plus. Not a light to carry around, a bit heavy, but outside of carrying, it performs every other function spot on. I have since purchased 2 more as gifts. Important to have around house for an emergency, in the car, or any outdoor activity. I’ll revisit this review when the 600 gets more tread on its tires.

I have used Stinger flashlights for years. This flashlight is just as bright if not brighter. Stinger cost was $120 and has a rechargeable battery which doesn’t last very long. This light is $30 and the batteries last a long time. Only “problem” is when you first open the package it takes a lot of pressure to twist the top of the flashlight in order to change from spot to flood. Once the first twist is done you do not have this problem again. Anyone who wants a bright flashlight for cheap this is the one. Good size and very durable.

Coast makes bright flashlights for a fair price that use “NORMAL” easy to find batteries. Usually AA will take care of the majority of their flashlights. This one takes AA as well. I have dropped this light, got it wet, put it underwater and turned it on looking at fish at night in a shallow Alaskan stream. ZERO problems. The metal lights coast makes are a little bit more sensitive and really don’t take a drop / shock / impact like these new POLYSTEEL lights do. Great light. wish they made a bigger model that takes D batteries and put out 900 or so lumens.

This is a powerful flashlight. The focusing beam ranges from wide angle to a narrow spot focus. It is larger and heavier than expected. My daughter wanted a powerful but compact flashlight, so I ended up getting a military-grade one for her—big bucks! I’m keeping this one for around the house use.
