Great for work tasking. Forget long distance lighting. Wide beam spread. Seems to use up batteries more than other units we’ve had, using original & cheaper batteries. Good value for the money if using as a task lighting!

Pretty slick little headlight. I feel like you can never have too many of these things. I like the red light feature which a lot of these lights do not have. The red light even blinks which is nice, should you ever need that. I dont know about the battery length just yet but so far its doing great and still very bright. My son seems to be having more fun with it than me.

This is a nice, small headlamp that also has a red light mode. I have several other headlamps from this manufacturer, Coast. This one is the smallest and lightest. It has 250 lumen and is easy to manage when on my head or hat. I use this for working under the hood of my kids cars and also for looking for scorpions in my yard at night. I have found this good on batteries and would purchase this product again. A good headlamp.

Much better than the original! My first one was faulty and had very short run times. Coast replaced it right away. ( great customer service). The new version has high and low and “turbo”. Although the new “High” setting is 180 lumens vs 250 lumens there is no real difference in brightness, and both high and low are now usuable for hours. ( the turbo 255 lumens is momentary). If it had a memory instead of cycling thru the red settings to turn it off I would give it 5+ stars. But it works great, and it’s hard to find a 2 aaa headlamp.

Appears brighter than 250 lumens, and securely attaches to hard hat with provided clips.A great buy in my opinion.

Great Little light for the price! Used it to change out a water heater and where there wasn’t any light. Really need to use and really bright.

very bright and lightweight, I use it for walking my dogs at night.

Powerful beam too bad it doesn’t strobe however the red light does. It eats batteries fast. Went through 2 sets of Duracell alkaline batteries at work by 11 AM at work.

For the price you can’t beat this headlamp, it works very well and I like the field of view that the light beam projects. Bonus that it comes with the hard hat clips. Only thing I would change is to get rid of the blinking red light setting, which I will never use.

You will love this FL13 250 lumen headlamp with a hinged beam adjustment with the ability to change over to a flashing red light with an emergency beacon. This headlight includes clips so that it can be attached to a hardhat. The LED light shines brightly and illuminates a large area when working. It is lightweight and easy to adjust elastic band. This light is great to use when working on utilities in small areas. It is weatherproof, comes with 2 AAA batteries with a lifetime warranty. You will love this headlamp.

the light brightness is great and illuminates the area your working in the downside is that the unit begins to heat up rapidly and drains the battery giving you less than the 2.5 hours runtime stated on the label. I thought it was the particular unit I was using and so brought out the second one I have as a backup to which it does the same thing. . overall for the price you pay its a workable solution.

Coast has taken a great product and made it even better with the FL13/IPX4. I already have an FL85, which I thought was the greatest thing. But the FL13/IPX4 has what seems like just as bright of a light, and I really like the new single control button. It is push once for bright, again for less light, again for solid red, and again for flashing red. I always got confused on which button to push for what with the FL85 and that is not the case with the FL13/IPX4. All of the Coast headlamps are great, but this one is the best so far to me. Highly recommended for your projects where you need a light but also need to be hands free.

This is a great small and lightweight headlamp especially for the price of under $10.00. It has a single top button to operate 4 settings – Bright area flood, low area flood, red light & red flashing light. It does not have a distance light throw, but it nicely floods a very broad area up close. The light is hinged and the 2 AAA batteries are on the light.

I like the fact the light is a “bar” and not a spot light. That gives a little greater peripheral of light instead of one spot. The lumens aren’t a blow torch but sufficient. Great price point too!
