I would recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a very bright headlamp to do projects or help see in darken areas while doing work and need to use both hands to do the job but also needs light to see while working. This headlamp is VERY bright I was very surprised at the brightness of this product compared to others on the market. This product also uses less batteries than a popular brand on the market also.

I like the flashing red light option, but one thing this light lacks is he ability to adjust the light from narrow to wide beam. I actually prefer the headlight I got from Harbor Freight which does adjust from narrow to wide. More useful.

I’m using this light to go under my house in the crawl space to do some wiring work. The light is bright and it’s also small enough that I barely remembered it was on my head. I’m used it on my bike helmet successfully.

Good price point on a very bright headlamp. It nearly blinded me when I first turned it on so it will work great for night work or when the power goes out in my house. You can use the light in high mode (250 lumens … last 2.5 hrs) or lower intensity (54 lumens … lasts 13 hours). It also has a red light function. They provide clips which are to secure this light on a hard hat.

I got my headlamp about 8 months ago and was pleased with it. It is not my primary / favorite headlamp, but it was bought as a back up. Recently, as stated by other posters, it started to dim out after just a couple of minutes. I reached out to Coast and they took care of it immediately. New headlamp is functioning perfectly and seems brighter than the original one. Thanks Coast for the great service.

Replaced an older LED light with 7 mini-LEDs. The Achilles heel of these devices is the flimsy push-button switch, which is soldered to the edge of the circuit board. Unless properly supported by the plastic housing around the board, repeated regular use will cause it to fail. This one seems solid.

I bought for automotive work. It worked well for about 3 hrs and the battery died. It could have had weak batteries but I still expected a little longer. The light itself was great. Very bright with good projection. I’ll try some better batteries and update if I have better results

This is a very affordable tool that everyone should have. What a handy little piece I truly didn’t know I needed…until now! The features are plentiful like the light intensities as well as the red light feature. It comes with a very comfortable head band that can be adjusted and hard hat clips, too. So convenient for working on projects that need that extra dedicated light with no hands needed. I especially like being able to use it outside in the dark, even when walking the dogs! I’m finding so many untraditional uses for it. It is a bit blinding so don’t look directly into it. Really useful and necessary. Great for emergencies too.

Been wanting a small AAA batt powered headlamp for a while. Got lucky with this one from Coast. It’s a small size and is lightweight and has some nice features. The adjustable strap is comfortable to wear and the hinged light design is very nice. Light output is also very nice to do some hands free work in the dark or find your way around a dark campsite. The high output is nice and bright and low is more than adequate for doing work up close. The red light is great and there’s an emergency mode but I wish you could switch just to one mode and use it instead of having to scroll through high, low, red, sos, off, all the time. Other than that minor issue I’m happy with it. Will see how long it holds up.

Strap it on your head and get the job done… In the darkness. Works great and worth the money. Even comes with free duracell batteries!

Wow, this head-mounted light is incredible. The bright setting is blinding and perfect to see the exacting detail you need in a dark or dim setting. You can also opt for a lower-power light that’s good for casual lumens when you want to, for example, illuminate surroundings as you walk. Red light and flashing red light settings are ideal to let other folks know where you are without the traditional extra-bright headlamp. Once the strap is adjusted appropriately, the light sits relatively comfortably on the forehead. Highly recommended!

I didn’t realize that a headlamp would be such a helpful thing to have. I have trouble seeing in low light, and this Coast 250 lumen headlamp makes all the difference in the world. Where I used to have to find a way to aim a flashlight at whatever project I was working on (under sink plumbing is a good example) and also keep both hands free for the job, now the adjustable headlamp eliminates that problem. The headband is so comfortable that you easily forget you are wearing it.
