The 16′ Pro AV/IT Active USB A Male to USB A Female Extender Cable from Comprehensive extends the range of USB devices by up to 16′. It uses a center booster format to allow for placement behind wall plates as you can add up to 15′ to either end of this cable. This extension cable buffers the incoming and outgoing signals to ensure compliance with the USB 2.0 specification for electrical and timing minimums. It is designed for use with USB 2.0 or 1.1 devices, including webcams, interactive whiteboards, and printers. The molded strain relief provides durability.

It’s 25 feet long, it has the connectors shown in the description, and it feels solidly built – the connectors fit snugly and I don’t feel like they are about to fall out or break off. Point at which cable joins connectors also feels solid.

Webcam, Mous and keyboard, hard drive, headset. USB is everywhere, and people want them everywhere. 10′ away, 2′ away but in a wall which is 15′ up and down the studs. I love when ceiling mount projectors have USB on them. I want to see someone simply hookup a USB to the projector 20′ in the air. USB extensions are necessary, USB converters are expensive. This is the best way to go for short runs.
