The Cooks Standard 12 Qt. 16 in. x 13 in. Stainless Steel Roaster Roasting Pan with Rack is made of Heavy-Gauge stainless steel that provides even heat conduction and is durable. V-shaped stainless steel rack allows for even browning, faster cooking, and collecting liquids/fat for sauces. Riveted stainless steel handles are deep for a secure grip. Flat bottom can be used for roasting, baking, and can be placed on stovetops. Tapered lip for easy pouring. Holds up to 12 Qt. Not Induction compatible. Works on gas, electric, glass, ceramic, halogen, etc. Oven safe to 500° F and dishwasher safe.

This is heavier than most pans so when you have a 16 pound Turkey in it you get a work out. However this pan cleans up SO EASY I couldn’t believe it! I roasted a chicken and had some burned on drippings and after a short soak it came right off! Only problem I have is where to put it as it is quite large. However this my new go to roasting pan!

We got this roaster to replace a number of other, lesser roasters we’ve had over the years. The cheap, flimsy aluminum ones that end up having your turkey (and other meats) basting in its own juices while cooking (leaving a sickly, soggy skin on what should be a crispy skin on the turky.) Also, the non-stick metal/teflon jobs that work OK for a while, then the teflon starts flaking off, and you realize your food was probably basted by teflon. Yum. This one is different. It’s big enough for a large turkey (24 pounds is our latest), heavy so it’s not going to deform, has a strong rack to keep the juices off the meat if you so desire (and…you do.) On top of that – this thing is beautiful! We went with Cooks Standard because we also have a pots/pans set from them (also stainless steel) that performs just as well as other, much more expensive stainless steel cookware (we have a couple AllClad, and some other brand that I’m forgetting right now – they all perform the same.) Remember to clean it well before using it at high temps to help prevent discoloration.All in all, this is a great roaster – the price, the quality, and overall value. The one bad thing about it – and it’s not about the item itself… while it’s listed as 12 quart (really, who measures a roaster by quarts?), the Product Overview shows the Product Depth is 17 inches, the Product Width is 14 inches, and the Product Height as 3.5 inches. Either I got the wrong item, or the specs listed are wrong. I’ve included pictures of the actual box (which includes a rather ambiguous note: “Due to continuous product improvements specification are subject to change.”Again, great product – but I either got the wrong one, or the specs are wrong.

Well built stainless turkey roaster. Bought it to replace the cheapo non stick units that rusted and flaked off everywhere. Fit and finish was very nice. Rack is large and heavy duty, should hold a 10 lb bird just as well as a 25 lb’er. Took forever to get (import), but arrived undamaged.
