The Cooks Standard 1.5 Qt. Stainless Steel Saucepan with Lid is made with 18/10 stainless steel with a middle aluminum layer in the bottom of the cookware. Aluminum disc layered in the bottom allows for even heat distribution and prevents hot spots. Tempered glass lid with steam vent to view food and seals in moisture. Riveted handles for durability, stays cool/comfortable while cooking, and is hang able. Induction compatible. Works on: gas, electric, glass, ceramic, halogen, etc. Oven safe to 500°F, glass lid to 350F. Dishwasher safe.

I purchased the sauce pan as a Christmas gift for a friend. She specifically wanted a 1.5 quart sauce pan with a lid. So, just on specs alone the item is great. In addition, she has used the item numerous times in the approximately 3 weeks since receiving it and really likes it. The vent in the lid is a nice feature and the height of the handle above the lid helps reduce the possibility that she will get burned by touching the lid surface. Worth the purchase price and picking the item up at the Home Depot was easy.
