A nice addition to the toolbox at a reasonable price point for a five piece set. This set is very comfortable to use and the cushioned release lever is a nice addition that other tool makers overlook. The finish is nice and should last for years to come with proper care and storage. The two long nose pliers are good for those tight spaces. And lastly, you can’t go wrong with the limited lifetime warranty.

This 5-piece Crescent brand vice grip locking pliers are made like the traditional vice grip tool, but they come in various profiles and shapes that are handy for special jobs and applications that the traditional tool can’t handle. Each plier has a different narrow profile for working in tight and confined spaces. This is a set of specialty tools that are great to have. I recommend them.

Pros:Selection of sizes and styles of locking pliers, heavy knurled knobs, hex key slot on adjustment knob, non-slip sleeves on unlocking lever.Cons:NoneThis is a great set of locking pliers varying in both size and style of pliers. The adjustment knobs are heavily knurled, making it easier to turn. In addition, the adjustment knobs have a hex key slot to make it easier to unlock the pliers. The unlocking levers are fitted with a non-slip sleeve to ease the unlocking process. The tools are made in China and some reviewers feel that the quality is not as good as the older models made in the USA. In my opinion, the quality is fine. Some reviewers report that there is some side to side play when the pliers are locked. I have not had this experience.Recommended.

Whether used as an extra pair of hands, or clamping things together, or getting a grip on materials that need to be bent, there are many uses for a good set of locking pliers. I’ve used this Crescent set for removing frozen nuts from bolts, making mower repairs, and bending materials. I predominantly use the 9” long nose, along with the 7” and 10” pliers, so the others were simply an added bonus for me. These tools hold tightly and there is little to no sway in the jaws. The tools seem well made with decent riveting and teeth alignment; however, the cross hashing on the first row of fine teeth on the 5”, 7”, and 10” could be refined. The second row on some could be refined as well. I like that all the adjustment screws have knurled teeth. More important though is that all tools have a hex key head for extra tightening or as a backup to the quick release buttons. I don’t use the built in wire cutters, so I can’t speak to that. Overall a good set and value in my opinion.

This locking pliers set is fantastic. The set contains all the locking pliers that you would ever need for the majority of jobs that the average do it yourself-er might run into. The teeth on these pliers are strong enough to get a good bite without wearing down during use. The release handle is easy to use and the coating on the release handle makes for an easier release without slipping.

Any DIY know that you never have enough grips! Whether working on lawn mowers, vehicles, or anything that needs to be held in place while you need two hands elsewhere can definitely agree! This is a great set which includes sizes for holding pipes, sheet metal, wiring, or anything where a 3rd hand is not available. And with a size for any application, definitely a great addition to my tool box.

Good set of locking pliers. The 5 different grips fit any need. Jaws are strong and the small to large will fit most any opening. 2 needle-nosed and 3 curved-claw grip. These pliers are solid and STRONG. Very precise and newer design of release tab makes adjustment easier. Compound action closure is good design. They have wire cutter at pinch point. The width adjustment has a hex key adapter for tough adjustment.

These are like the old set of vise grips I have had for years. The pack of 5 offers different designs to help with all tight spots or needs. The pliers work smooth and hold very well. I used a pliers to close one of the locking pliers on a pipe. The pliers took the extra pressure without folding like a tent. After releasing the pliers I tried it again. No failures with the pliers due to excessive force. Nice! For the money, these are worth having in your toolbox.
