   The Crescent brand has been around for years and the quality remains the same today. A very nice 3/8″ drive 27 piece socket set in metric sizes. Shallow sockets as well as deep wells make this a universal tool set for any job that requires this tool set. Sockets feature surface drive technology to eliminate rounding off of fasteners. Well made and markings on sockets are well defined and easy to read.    This is an excellent set to have. The ratchet is durable and strong; it can take a beating. The extensions are just the right size for most simple jobs. Then, it comes with both regular and deep sockets which is great! A lot of these smaller kits do not come with both deep sockets and regular. I regularly help people with small odd jobs and I keep this in the back of my car; it is very helpful. The case it comes in makes it easy to pack around.My only complaint is that it does not come with standard sockets. If it had standard sockets along with the metric, this would be the perfect set.

   The Crescent brand 27 piece Metric standard & deep socket set is a nice addition to my tool collection. It is packaged in a sturdy plastic storage box with numbered places for each socket to be stored in as well as for the 9″ ratchet drive & 2 extensions. I have used it around the garage on a couple of projects and the 6 point / 12 point sockets grip just fine. The ratchet operates smoothly. The storage box could use a handle on top of it for easier carrying, but the lack of a built-in handle is not a big deal.

   This review is for the Crescent 3/8” Drive 6 and 12 Point Metric Standard and Deep Socket Wrench Tool Set (27-Piece). Anyone that works with tools a lot recognizes good quality tools which is what Crescent has produced since 1907. This set of tools is no exception. The quality and design of this socket set is excellent. The set comes with both shallow and deep sockets in various standard sizes. It has a 3/8” ratchet drive that has a 60-tooth ratchet requiring only a 6 degree swing, which makes this ratchet perfect for tight places. It also comes with 3” and 6” extension bars. All 27 pieces are housed nicely in a sturdy plastic storage case. The set meets stringent new ANSI and ASME specifications.

   The 3/8 in. Drive 6 and 12 Point Metric Standard and Deep Socket Wrench Tool Set (27-Piece) is a metric socket set with deep and shallow sockets and is made of steel alloy. This a professional tool set and is guaranteed forever. This Crescent Brand set exceeds A.N.S.I. load Specs and are a 3/8″ drive. I got this set because we drive a foreign automobile and a metric set is necessary for it’s maintenance.

   This 27-piece Metric 3/8 inch drive socket set by Crescent is just the right thing for anyone who owns a foreign car and does their own work on it. This set has 12 6-point deep sockets and 12 12-point standard length sockets in sizes from 8mm to 19mm all finished in a high-polished chrome that will make them easy to clean. Two extensions are also furnished. The ratchet is very well designed with its palm swell tear-drop handle and the quick release button is large and easy to press. The sockets have the now-common “off corner load” feature that allows the sockets to engage the fasteners slightly away from the corner and onto the side of the nut or bolt to reduce the chance of rounding off the fastener. While using this set to assemble a work station I noticed that the 13mm standard length socket kept slipping off of the ratchet and extension to the point of becoming frustrating. After getting through with the job I examined the socket and found that it was missing the inner detent groove that all of the other sockets had. I’m going to assume that this was just a one-time mess up on this particular set but still this shouldn’t have happened. This set comes in a nice plastic blow-molded carry case that is heavy duty but compact in size so that you can easily store it in your car or truck. Overall I give this metric socket set a “Good” rating with my only complaint being the single defective 13mm 12-point standard length socket. Also the set comes with a lifetime warranty. It’s a good buy!

   The 3/8 in. Drive 6 and 12 Point Metric Standard and Deep Socket Wrench Tool Set (27-Piece) is a great starter set of metric sockets for my tool box. The one pic that I have posted is of ALL my SAE sockets that I’ve had 30 plus years. Yes-I have used them a lot-I just take care of my tools cause they are costly to replace. That’s why I was excited to grab this nice Metric set to get me started. There are times that I have a need for a metric socket or wrench. You can’t go wrong with the Crescent brand products. I normally only purchase the crescent brand channel locks, wire nippers and other plyers. I used crescent channel locks for 25 plus years in my field of work. The ratchet has a great feel and smoothness to it as well. And I’m big on tools that have their own carrying/storage case. This kit will stay in my garage tool box for use around the house.

   I ordered this socket set online and when it was delivered I was very pleased with it. The first thing that I noticed was the weight of the set, it’s heavy and that means that they didn’t skimp on materials when making it. It comes in a really nice plastic case that has places for all of the pieces so you can keep them organized and you will immediately know when a piece is missing. The chrome finish is well done and the handle feels comfortable in my hands. There is a button on the back of the handle that releases the socket so that you don’t have to tug hard to get it off. It comes with two extensions. This is the metric set and I like it so much that I will now be purchasing the SAE set.

   Made of high quality steel and very sturdy. The ranges of sockets go for 8 to 19 millimeters with the 12 point sockets being the 12 point and the deep well sockets being the 6 point sockets. The 2 extensions on six inch in length and the other three inches in length are also made of high quality and strong metal. I would highly recommend this to anyone. Especially those who work on autos

    Have been working on an old English car, which is all metric. This set of sockets has been a great help for removing and installing parts. They are 3/8″ drive so provide a very strong tool for removing those rusted on nuts and bolts. Great chrome finish with the socket size etched on the outside of each socket for easy identification that should last a long time. Good feel to these tools, high quality and robust design. Great addition to my tool box.
