I’m loving this tool set so far. Everything seems heavy duty and it covers a good range of bit types, and wrench and socket sizes. At the same time, it’s small enough to carry around easily and find the piece you’re looking for. The screwdriver handle is nice and grippy. Perhaps the best part is that the plastic case actually holds the tools in place properly. Seems like a small thing, but I have had other sets where you open it and all the sockets are scrambled.

So this is my third time purchasing this set in 10 years. It is a great combination set to have on hand for a weekend warrior mechanic because most of the tools I need for cars, boats, outboards and small engines is contained inside. It is also compact and easy to take on road trips or up north for use at the cabin. This one is staying up north. I am not sure why I didnt just buy three of these 10 years ago to spread around in vehicles and up north.Quality:-I believe I have only broken one ratchet. All the other tools have performed strong through three cars worth of oil changes, disc and drum brake jobs, radiator, exhaust, steering rack, power steering pump replacements as well as jeep modifications and countless home improvement projects.Cons: (One star deducted for the following)-I have found the clasps or latches on the plastic case break over time.-The plastic hinges on the unit wear out and break over time so I have to wrap two bungy cords around the entire unit to prevent tools from falling out. (There is a YouTube video where a guy shows you how to re-do and reinforce the hinges but I just remove all the tools and incorporate them into my tool chest). Conclusion:This is not a professional mechanics tool set for every day use. I get that. But for between $60-90 it is really a great value considering the wide array of tools included, the quality and the convenience of having everything I need in one organized place on the road or in the garage at home.

This set should work as I intended, a back-up road tool kit. The way the socket sizes are sized is strange – a few sequential 1/2” drive then a lack of 1/2” sizes filled by 3/8” or 1/4” drive sequential sizes. It’s not what I would prefer, but it will work in a pinch.

Very well made, most popular sizes and easy to keep in the trunk of a vehicle. Little disappointed no slip joint pliers but the lineman pliers in the set is more useful than diagonal wire cutters. So it is a little thinking outside the box. Also don’t like the tool count is with all the bits and Allen sets so increases the tool count but in reality it is sets inside this tool set. I do like the 72 teeth rackets and the tools over all are very well made and should hold up for years to come. I have been using the Crescent brand of tools for more than 50 years with no problems.
