So this is my third time purchasing this set in 10 years. It is a great combination set to have on hand for a weekend warrior mechanic because most of the tools I need for cars, boats, outboards and small engines is contained inside. It is also compact and easy to take on road trips or up north for use at the cabin. This one is staying up north. I am not sure why I didnt just buy three of these 10 years ago to spread around in vehicles and up north.Quality:-I believe I have only broken one ratchet. All the other tools have performed strong through three cars worth of oil changes, disc and drum brake jobs, radiator, exhaust, steering rack, power steering pump replacements as well as jeep modifications and countless home improvement projects.Cons: (One star deducted for the following)-I have found the clasps or latches on the plastic case break over time.-The plastic hinges on the unit wear out and break over time so I have to wrap two bungy cords around the entire unit to prevent tools from falling out. (There is a YouTube video where a guy shows you how to re-do and reinforce the hinges but I just remove all the tools and incorporate them into my tool chest). Conclusion:This is not a professional mechanics tool set for every day use. I get that. But for between $60-90 it is really a great value considering the wide array of tools included, the quality and the convenience of having everything I need in one organized place on the road or in the garage at home.

An excellent set of baseline mechanic’s tools. Acquired this beautiful set with plans to donate it to a mechanic’s trade school my family is associated with. Wrestled with keeping it for myself but I won’t give it the use it deserves. I’m impressed by the inclusion of a large set of 1/4 inch driver tips – yankee, phillips, allen and even torx. The plastic case with four clips for secure closure is nice for display and finding any tool quickly, but the tools will surely outlast the case.

Overall, this is a very nice set. My search criteria were: 1> Comprehensive set, 2> Secure case, 3> Price. Items 1 & 3 were 5 stars easy. The only reason I gave it four instead of five stars is that if you accidentally open the wrong side or you happen to spill it, you will spend hours reloading the sockets since they don’t lock in like all the wrenches. But, then again on the plus side, every socket pocket is labeled so you not only know which one(s) may be missing, but where they go. Also, one of the wrenches does not lock in to place — so far duck tape is my friend. Future will be to add some Velcro or similar to hold them. Should you buy this? Absolutely. The quality is superb and the completeness of the set is very, very nice — just have to be a bit careful/creative with the case.

Bought this for my son to have a basic tool kit in his car. Decent kit overall and has all the essential tools covered and the case is really durable and convienient.

I’ve bought Crescent tools in the past and they were pretty good, these ones are not. The case is super cheap and half of the tools fell out when I opened. The two red clips on the top of the case fell of the 1st time I tried to close it. With that being said, I think the case is the best part of this tool kit. These tools appear to be very cheap and I would be very surprised if they make it through their first use. If you are looking for a nice set of tools, this is not it. If you want to keep it in a truck or trailer for emergency’s, maybe. I would not purchase this set again and would recommend you keep looking.

Very nice well organized tool set, great for the do it yourselfer. They look well made . I have no idea where they are made because I looked on a few tools ( adjustable wrench, ratchets , sockets, etc. ) No country or where they are made. Hard for me to rate these since I have a variety of Snap On and Mac tools. Just watch how you open the case or else you’ll have sockets and other items all over the place. Always put the foam divider back in the case before you close it to keep tools snug in the case. This tool set would suit the weekend DIYer. The ratchets have some weight to them and look well made, time will tell. I really can’t say a negative thing about the tool set, however some improvement with the plastic case can be made and the latches that hold the case together need improved also, sometimes hard to open and hard to close. I can always move some tools around in my tool chests to put these in and toss the plastic case. Overall I gave these tools 5 stars and didn’t deduct for the plastic case since I wont be using it. I highly recommend this tool set for the home or garage or in the trunk of your car.

I have used my set for 3 years now on basically everything. I keep it in my truck 24/7. I purchased a 2nd set for my son.. It has everything and the case makes it easily portable!!

Very well made, most popular sizes and easy to keep in the trunk of a vehicle. Little disappointed no slip joint pliers but the lineman pliers in the set is more useful than diagonal wire cutters. So it is a little thinking outside the box. Also don’t like the tool count is with all the bits and Allen sets so increases the tool count but in reality it is sets inside this tool set. I do like the 72 teeth rackets and the tools over all are very well made and should hold up for years to come. I have been using the Crescent brand of tools for more than 50 years with no problems.

I bought this is a second set of tools to keep at my cabin and have been very impressed with the quality and completeness of the set. I would definitely recommend it as a starter set or second set of tools as it’s much easier than building up a set one piece at a time.
