Good combination of tools from a name brand company. Purchased as a gift so I cannot speak to how good the tools feel and fit for the tasks at hand. The price was quite competitive with lesser name tool sets that provide 50 screwdriver bits and allen wrenches to get to a high tool count.

Picked this up to throw in the back of a new adventure vehicle I picked up. I’ve been using this tool set for a week or so now and I’m impressed. The ratchets seem to move smoothly while the pawls feel solid. While I appreciate the convenience of having a spot in the box for each tool, I should note that this box is a little frustrating. Every time I open it I have tools out of place. And if it gets bumped while it’s open, oh boy, sockets everywhere! While I wouldn’t hesitate to pick up another should the need arise, I would greatly appreciate a touch more engineering go into the package itself.

This socket and tool set is made by Cresent, a name I have trusted for years. My first wrench was a Cresent adjustable wrench and I still have it and use it regularly. I got this specifically for use in my RV and as a quickly portable socket set. It comes in a very sturdy blow-molded case and (surprise!) everything fits and doesn’t rattle around or come loose like so many other sets I looked at; as a bonus, the sizes of each wrench or socket are stamped into the appropriate location in the case. Nothing in this set feels cheap or knocked-out; all the wrenches and sockets have a great hand feel to them, providing a nice heft in my hand. The 12 point design of the larger sockets means easier and quicker on/off use when removing bolts. Also this set has sockets all the way up to 3/4 in, which covers almost the entire range I could need, in BOTH metric and SAE. A hex wrench set with most commonly used sizes and a screwdriver with interchangeable bits are also included (bits include straight, Phillips, hex, and Torx). The only thing it does not come with that I wish it did is a set of pliers, but with everything else it does have can put a separate pair into my ‘odds and ends’ toolkit. I expect to get a lot of use out of this set and for it to last a long, long time. If you do not have a socket set or a set of combination wrenches, and especially if you need both metric and SAE (and you do…), I highly recommend this set. This would make a great gift for a son or daughter or other family member just starting out.

This is a perfect socket and wrench set to throw in the trunk or behind the seat in your pickup for those “if I only had my sockets” emergency. They are surprisingly well made for the price, not cheap junk at all. I’ve already used them several times in the remodel, the mowers, and tractor. The case holds everything nice and secure. If you don’t have that convenient go to socket /wrench set and need one for whenever, this is the one to pick up.

2nd time buying this set after the original one was stolen from my barn. Home Depot’s price was the best around by 30$ at the time I purchased it online. July 2020. I liked this set enough to buy it twice. Solid construction and came with a nice hard case with lid closures. The case is Flat and can Rest on flat surface and other things can be set on top of it.

This is a great buy if you’re looking for a basic, all around tool set. The wrenches in particular seem to be really well made. The sockets are firmly held in place and will not come off unless you press the button. The wrenches, sockets, and screwdriver bits have all held up to some basic house and automotive work. Unfortunately there’s no deep sockets in this set, nor room for them, but at least all the common sizes are included. The box is nice and everything except the hex keys stays in place even without the foam liner (should it be lost).I like to keep a basic set of tools in all our vehicles. This tool set fits nicely inside the spare tire in my wife’s car.

I have been wanting to do more automotive and mechanic-type work lately and needed some basic wrenches and sockets. This is a nice starter kit that I can take anywhere or use at home. Crescent is a brand that I have used for years with various hand tools and trust them for work already and at home, and this set is a decent quality with a nice finish and feel very solid. It includes 1/4″ 6-point sockets and 3/8″ 12-point sockets in SAE and metric with an extension and ratchet in each size, an adapter, 6 combination SAE and 6 metric wrenches from 3/8 to 11/16 and 10-17mm, a driver and a bunch of bits and hex keys, as well as a nice carrying case. I’ll be using mine at work for basic repairs and at home for light automotive work. Nothing major but I feel confident that this Crescent set will be more than enough quality for the work I’m planning.

This set is great to just put in the vehicle and leave it there. I had in in there and over the weekend and the altanator went out. was able to make it to the parts store and purchased one and changed it in there parking lot. Have had it a week now and very happy to have it. I do recommend this kit. it had just the right things I needed to do the job. I have nothing that I dislike about it.. This kit will be handy in a pinch for an emergency deal.

The Crescent tool set is great for a starter kit. It has the basic tools needed to do just about everything needed to do to repair a car on the road or in a garage. The tools are well made and sturdy. The ratchets are easily turned and made to fit into a fairly tight space. The screwdriver set is good because of the interchangeable bits so that you have them handy right at your fingertips. I definitely would purchase these I give them a solid five rating.

Cost effective way to get a set of tools to live in the trunk of my 1980 fiat 124 spider. Wish it had a 19mm wrench as well, but comes in a nice organized plastic case. Pretty sure the tools are made in China, but they look nice, crescent is a brand name, shouldn’t leave me stranded on the road side.

I love this set. It has all the things I need organized in one box. No more searching for this set or that set or this individual tool or that individual tool, they are all contained in this one easy to carry and store box. The tools are strong and appear well made. There is a good variety of sizes, shapes, types as well as different sizes of drives all in one easy to store container. It’s a winner

The Mechanics Socket and Tool Set (70-Piece) by Crescent is a very nice product. It comes in a very rugged plastic case that will wear well in the shop environment. Just be sure to note that the case has been zip-tied shut from the factory. Also, it’s best to always unlatch the case as the buckles face you, with the crescent logo on the case’s side, facing upright. This way, the sockets won’t dump all over because the wrenches store tightly in the other side. I was enjoying checking this case out and felt like a kid at Christmas. I wish I’d had this set long ago. Very nice item, Crescent!

This seventy piece tool set is an ideal tool kit to carry in your vehicle so you have a basic set of tools in the event you need them. It could also be useful around the house , the size is easy to carry and there is a basic selection of wrench sizes needed for a variety of tasks. It contains Allen wrenches, a variety of screw driver bits, sockets, open end wrenches to tackle most jobs. I highly recommend this product.
