Professionals and DIYers can count on the new Bull Bar from Crescent for all their deck projects. Unlike similar tools, the innovative 180º indexing head changes positions, allowing the user to easily select the best angle for maximum leverage and access. The Bull Bar has a double fork design with teeth that grip the edge of the board, decreasing slippage and providing a balanced lift on both sides of the nail. Closed positions offer fast action for shorter pulls. Open positions allow for powerful downward force on large planks and are an ideal solution for ground-level work. Additionally, a robust center nail puller will remove ring shank nails and stubborn long nails with better balance and increased leverage.

This is a good pry for deck removal. However, it like everything has it’s shortcomings. First off it claims it will fit over double joists. They must be talking about some kind of metric joist cause the fingers are too small to fit a common double joist. Second, if the decking is like mine and installed on a 45 degree to the joist it’s much more difficult to use. All in all though we (me 73 and my son-in-law) ripped out my deck (32’x24’) in under 4 hours. And there’s no way we could have done that without this bar along with 2 other types of Crescent pry bars.

Worked great, and the adjustable head came in handy. Knocked a star off because the nail puller bit in the middle was pretty useless. Better off using a hammer or pry bar.

Able to pull up deck boards 90% faster without tearing them up if just used crow bar and hammers. Actually able to reuse the boards on another project.

Excellent tool for the job. The pivoting head came in extraordinarily useful. Highly recommend this tool if you need to rip apart a deck. Or you could just borrow mine. It’s not something I’ll use very often, but it was indispensable during the process.

Got it for pallets. You still break up some of the pallets.. The handle could be a little longer. Great for a short person.

This made short work of removing old deck boards – great tool!

This wrecking bar works great.

This one might be good with Baird’s and joists installed at 90 degrees. But mine is at 45 degrees. It could not have the needed support point, so no use and immediately returned.

It’s still a lot of work tearing the pallets down! Soo many nails!

It works well in the middle of the pallet but not to get on the edges.

10X faster and easier.

works great

The bar worked reasonably well as long as you could rest it on a truss beam underneath. I am a large guy and still needed to apply tremendous force to pop the boards up. I wondered if a bit heavier and longer bar would make the job a bit easier.

Just the best, tore apart a deck in record time without any pain or strain. If I did demo regularly I would buy two of these so I could work in a team and tear one apart in 1/4 of the time.

This tool is exactly what you need to rip a deck apart. Worth every penny.

This tool has been invaluable during the deck overhaul. Screw and nail puller with 45″ bar for leverage to get under those boards and rip them off. saved a lot of time and effort. Still very difficult but I ended up buying two so I had another person helping. I have zero regrets buying a tool I will probably not use again.
