The Crescent 6 in. Z2 Dual Material Slip Joint Pliers have the perfect grip when wearing gloves or with your bare hands. Being 6 inches it is small enough yet strong enough to do the job, When compared to other steal handled slip joint pliers. Crescent brand stands out amongst other on the market. Pliers are like screw drivers, they always seem to disappear with time and are never available when you need them. I was glad to pick up these pliers along with other tools from this manufacturer to offset the ones that have been misplaced.Every time I replace them I look for something better and I think these fit the bill. These are pretty solid and feel substantial in your hands. The handles are comfortable to grip especially when having to grip something tightly. The tolerances seem pretty tight as you can see in the photos.

I’ve been pretty impressed with these pliers. To start with they feel really good in the hand. The grips allow for good purchase. The cross-hatch on the jaws are deep and aggressive and provide a strong grip. What sets these pliers apart for me is how parts are connected. Rather than using a bolt a press fit pin is used which allows the tool to lay flat against a surface when gripping anything.

Another well built product from a trusted brand name. The Crescent 6 inch Z2 piler is a heavy duty tool. When comparing to my Craftsman the Crescent padded handles provide additional comfort. The jaws are made of harden steel with very sharp teeth. On the handles there is an area for non-marring grip applications. This is a very unique feature and is very useful when needing to tighten something down that you do not want to damage. Crescent a name you have come to trust making the basic plier just a little better.

Rubber handle grips are ergonomically good. The size is just right for most uses. It fits in my tool belt. If I should happen to drop it it will not mar the floor. the slip joint makes it easier to grip larger items. The teeth on the inner handles makes it easier to grip other items as well. It meets all the expectations I had when I chose it. Great!

I’m always heading up and down my stairs to the attic to get basic tools for my home repairs throughout the house or garage. This new set of adjustable pliers are a great addition to my collection of tools. I’m expecting this Crescent branded pair to become my preferred go-to set. Integrated wire cutter is nice, but not sure I’ll remember to use it. The jaws stay open about 3/16″ on the “open” adjustment. Handles have a bit of bulk to the plastic, which I personally like for grip and feel, but they do make these a bit larger in terms of overall mass than other designs available.
