I am in the process of remodeling two of our baths that requires removing maple quarter round and mop board molding. This tool worked well for that job, facilitating getting under nail heads and removing the finish wood without digging large gouges or breaking the relatively thin quarter round. I was able to reuse the wood because of the limited damage to it. I appreciate h the red color that makes it easy to locate the tool in my toolbox. The hammerhead-shaped striking surface at one end is key to getting the V-grove to grab nail heads to get a start at prying them out, a key feature to making this a handy tool and a good addition to my tool collection.

I know it’s advertised to be used for removing molding, but this little gadget is a great addition to the tool box for many uses. I first used it to remove my house numbers from behind a security light. The 8 inch length with the different angles on the ends helped me get into the space having little clearance to remove the tiny nails. Then I was able to pop the number off that had pretty much melded with the paint from the western sun.It has a good heft to it, and look very well fabricated with solid metal. I expect it will last a good many years.

I use this for flooring projects when I have to remove the molding without too much damage. I pair it with a slender pry tool to get the trim off the wall and then use this tool to pull the nails. Works perfectly in small spaces and corners. small enough to not damage anything.
