Great cutters. I’ve owned a pair before and used the heck out of them. They will eventually fail at the hinges and the spring will break. But they have a lifetime warranty and the company will replace them. These are no longer being sold in the store. So prior to seeing them online I purchased a Dewalt Model# DWHT70275 compound cutting pliers. There was no comparison. The Dewalt unit didn’t cut nearly as well and the spring would open the pliers so wide that they wouldn’t fit in your hands. They were very awkward to use. I’m very happy to have found these online and have purchased 3 additional pairs, so if I misplace a pair I can usually find one of the others. They are that important to me. Don’t hesitate on buying these. You won’t be sorry.

I use them to snap off nails in my lumber that i recycle…..all sizes….even huge nails from real 2 x 4s that were hand driven in framing from the 1950’s….Only issue i have with this series is the lock…it is either on the wrong side or it’s easy for the lock to catch while using them…Hey COOPER/CRESCENT, fix this issue….and small problem of the handles spreading too open if you put them down or drop them unlocked….this causes the spring to break,Make Replacement spreader springs!!!!!!!!!!!!I cut mails, plastic, ductwork, you name it…even the spring broken pair cuts like a hot knife for me….Bought them 2009 i think…and i didn’t pay this much for them

I bought my first pair over 10 years ago and still use them daily to cut nails, screws, and wire. Bought a new pair because I finally broke the tip of my old ones. (But still in daily use) These are made of HARD steel, and made to cut metal easily. I have looked over the years and never found better. Nothing comes close to the strength, power, and ease of use. BUY THESE, avoid cheap imitations.
