Pliers when using the adjustable head are very good, however the grip grooves on handles for not damaging pipes and faucets,etc. are not .They have a tendency to slip and break free, especially with any moisture. So as pliers, pretty good.

I was actually looking for pliers with “soft” jaws as not to mar the finish of an expensive Kohler shower head. These pliers utilize a section of the handle to create a simple plier to use on softer surfaces. Didn’t know if it would work – but it did. It was not possible to apply the same grabbing force since the effective lever length was greatly reduced – however it was enough. These were also less expensive than the Japanese pliers with replacement “soft jaws”
