Another great product from Cresent tools. The first thing that I liked about this wrench is the feel, it feels like a heavy duty quality wrench. Oddly enough the second thing I liked about this wrench is the non marring group zone on the handels. I don’t know how many times I used this area for losing something I did not want to get marked up or that was too big, now there is a section designed for it.This is a top quality heavy duty wrench with a lifetime warranty, thus will be handed down to my grandkids if it does not get lost or stolen.

WOW! This is the BEST pair of tongue and groove pliers that I have ever owned. They are far superior to what I have in my tool box. Other pliers may be more convenient if a smaller size is needed. These can grip over 2.5″ and the padded handles are very comfortable. Eight different grooves are available. The jaws are configured for different types of grips. Part way down the handle there is a padded gripping section that can hold pipes without damage to the surface. The long (12″) pliers can provide a lot of torque to tighten or loosen a nut or other item.

These pliers are great! The V- jaw has maximum contact for materials that can be pipe or odd shaped and as thick as 2.6 inches wide. There are 8 fixed widths. The pliers seem to be just slightly thinner that the old channel locks I used. They can get into tighter spots. The pivot rivet is flush to the arms and not interfering. Perhaps a slightly different angle on the handles/arms to the jaws feels like better torque. The metal is light and strong. The handles have a firm outer grip (rubber like polymer?) on the metal arms and they have a good texture for wet dirty or slippery grip. Strong on lateral movement. The outer handles can be a soft grip to grip without harm to PVC or softer materials. New design is excellent.

I’m a homeowner/DIY’er, not a skilled tradesperson, so this review comes from that standpoint.Crescent makes a comprehensive line of plies, so it’s important to make sure the review you’re reading is for the right model – this is for the RTZ212CGV “V” jaw model. This model comes with a feature that I like quite a bit – the handle has a “no mar” grip area built in (see photo) so that you can grab an object that you don’t want to scar without having to grab a different set of pliers. It’s not a major deal, but it’s a well thought out “extra attraction”.The handles also have holes in the end, so you can attach a lanyard or hang the pliers from pegboard. The handles are comfortable even in cold weather. Note, however, that this model of Crescent pliers is not insulated against electricity. At the business end there’s a “V” cut into the jaws, which is really handy for working on round items, such as water pipes. The grip is ‘all business’ and I’m not finding that I have to use huge amounts of hand strength to keep work items tightly gripped. The “V” jaws are all metal and hold tightly, although too much pressure can mar work surfaces. The jaws can open to 2 9/16” (see photo).Fit and finish of the pliers is excellent. They come with a limited lifetime warranty and are 180-day returnable.HTHRegards,Jim

This 12 inch crescent pliers is a great addition to my tool box. These lock in place so I can tighten and not have to readjust every time I take them off.The teeth on the pliers keep a tight grip on what I am holding or tightening and with a molded rubber handles even when hands are a little greasy I have no problem holding on them. Being coated with black oxide they are more rust resistant than others.

I like my Crescent 12-inch Z2 tongue and groove pliers. The pliers have 8 positions of adjustments and can open to a maximum 2 9/16-inch jaw capacity. The non-slip handles have a non-marring molded grip zone to be able to grip polished chrome or brass. The teeth of the pliers are machined to have a secure grip up to a 35-degree angle. These are the nicest pliers I’ve ever owned. I think you’ll them too!

The Crescent name in tools means quality is to be expected and this tool is a great example. The first thing I noted was the nice comfortable grips. Also noteworthy is the non marring grip on the inside of the handle. The 12 inch handle enables a lot of torque. Jaws will open to 2 9/16 inches. A total of Eight jaw positions for lots of flexibility and comfort and jaw capacity. The jaws seem like they will grip almost anything the job requires. The tooth design on the jaws is aggressive. Seems like they would grip anything presented. This is a must have for the DIYer or the professional. I strongly recommend these V-Jaw slip joint pliers.

This is a monster crescent tongue and groove pair of pliers. It is built to last a lifetime and should handle any project requiring this type of tool. The tool is 12 inches long and is actually a bit heavy. The channel locks adjust to just over 2.5 inches in 8 equal incremental positions. The K9 jaws will hold tight to any material it grips. The non-marring grip zone is a nice feature. This is a serious tool.

I have to say this is another fine product from Cresent tools. I have used there products for years and I have never been disappointed. They hold up under extreme use and they just keep going. I like the griips on the handles they are very comfortable and when you are gripping with them your hands won’t slip off. The teeth on the pliers won’t wear down quick either . If you are working on pipes these are the plers to have or something round like pipe even big nuts and bolts. They are great for about any type of work you can get into. I highly recommend this brand of tools you want be disappointed.
