What I difference make the right tools I use to use other pliers because I thought they are the best , but when I got this new CRESCENT 12 IN. Z2 K9 V-JAW DIPPED HANDLE TONGUE AND GROOVE PLIERS it makes a lots of difference, the material they are made, even the looks are incredible, they are perfect to do any small or big job, the V jaw it gives a perfect grip to any parts you try to hold, definitely I recommend this pliers 100 %

I got these pliers because of the V-Jaws and self locking feature. My older pair of channel type pliers that’s getting replaced had no where near the gripping power this pair has with the aggressive teeth. These are made very well and feel quite sturdy. The handles are dipped with a substantial thickness so I think they will hold up good. There are 8 jaw positions and the jaws open up to 2 9/16″ Overall a great set of pliers.

This is a Crescent product, which is all I needed to know. It is as well-made as you would expect. The coated handles are very comfortable. The jaws are multi-angled so they grip most shapes easily. It has eight jaw positions. Per my measurements, the maximum “parallel” jaw position is about 3.5″, see photo. We are using it to remodel a master bath. It pulls nails easily, grips galvanized pipe easily, etc. Handy, rugged, tool to have around. It has a lifetime warranty, also.

Crescent 12in V-Jaw PliersThese are strong solid pliers, from handle to jaw tip is 12 inches. The jaw adjusts to 8 different spots, and at the largest opening, the jaws close to 2.5 inches and open over 4 inches. The plastic coated handles give good hand grip. These are super strong/rugged feeling, and the jaw teeth design gives good grip. I’m very happy with these pliers.

This review is for the Crescent 12 in. Z2 K9 V-Jaw Dipped Handle Tongue and Groove Pliers. I have channel lock pliers in my toolbox but decided to try these because of the unique jaw design. Boy am I glad I got these pliers. The gripping power of these pliers far exceeds the older style channel locks that I have. The jaws are multi angled and can grip a wide variety of shapes easily. The coated handles are very comfortable and the pliers are very sturdy when gripped. There are eight jaw positions, and the jaws open to approximately 2 ½ inches at a maximum parallel jaw position. These pliers are another fine product from Crescent I highly recommend them.

Great Pliers for medium sized round work with a jaw design that gives you excellent holding power. The Crescent 12-inch tongue and groove “V” jaw pliers, model RTZ212V, are part of the Crescent Z2 line of tools. The pliers are 12 inches long when closed, have approx. 2-inch length of jaw with the aggressive “K9” type configuration. The jaws have been induction hardened and are 7/16-inch-wide with 3/32” deep pockets on each side in the main grip area to allow for the advertised superior holding ability on angled work. The handles have been dipped for ergonomics and ease of cleaning only and are “NOT” electrical insulated and do NOT have an ASTM-F1505 rating. The pliers have 8 jaw positions, flush pivot point, can hold onto items as large as 2 9/16 inch in dia., weighs in at a little over 2 lbs. and all non-blacked surfaces have been coated to help prevent corrosion. In testing the holding strength, I found that because of the “V” jaws anything smaller than 3/8 inch in dia. was just not going to happen. This pliers needs to be used on round product for it to come into its own, it did not do well on the smaller items. There is a small “V” in the front of the jaws that can grip onto a 6d nail but nothing smaller. I tested putting the jaws at an angle to the work with only using one hand and was very impressed with the gripping power. When these K9 jaws are properly placed onto the work they hold on just like advertised without pinching your fingers because of having to grip the arms so tight, really impressed. Product is manufactured in Vietnam and finished in China. I found nothing dissatisfying about these pliers. They are well built, well designed and are of excellent quality. The jaw type is somewhat specific to the type of work (round) but not entirely and can be used in other applications if proper knowledge is applied. Recommended.

The K9 jaws allow a 35* angled grip, and the jaws are slim style which offer you 40% greater access to the surface you are trying to grab. There are 8 jaw positions. The handles are also dipped for an easy grip, and the pliers work ergonomically in each hand. The jaw capacity is 2 9/16″. The craftsmanship of these pliers is excellent. They come with a limited lifetime warranty. They are produced in Vietnam, and assembly is completed in China.I highly recommend these pliers.
