I bought these recently on the strength of reputation and past experience to help with assembling an electronic kit – bending component leads and clipping off soldered component leads, and they performed excellently.These are good products for use on low power electronics – the lower thickness and lighter weight than traditional electrically oriented tools make them easier to operate in confined spaces and/or with small components than the usual “scaled down bolt cutters”. They are good for fine wire cutting, bending and shaping – i.e. through-hole electronic components, and small gauge wires and connectors.The non-slip handle material is comfortable, though I’m a bit surprised and mildly disappointed that it is expressly described as not electrically insulating – I would have expected protection to 250VAC.I have own several Crescent products for a couple of decades; they are all still in good shape and serviceable, and, knowing that they are slightly more expensive than the off-brand or store-brand alternatives, I recommend the brand and these specific tools with no reservations.
