The Crescent 8″ Diagonal Pliers is the right size for small jobs. Grip is comfortable and can gripped by smaller hands that larger diagonal pliers are harder to pull together. The pliers are light-weight and can be held easily. The product is sharp as it comes out of the package and took minimal effort to cut through 14-3G sheathed cable considering the size of the device. Something that I had not considered when ordering is the coloring making it easier to find within the mix of tools in the tool box.

These pliers are the real deal…heavy duty to say the least. The handles are cushioned and provide a really comfortable, strong grip. We have used them to cut wrapped wire and thinner wires like chicken wire. We were easily able to cut a large piece of chicken wire which we use to surround our raised bed garden. These pliers made this tedious job go alot quicker. They will last forever given their heft. I highly recommend!

The Crescent diagonal cutters are a top quality hand tool. The large plastic covered handles are comfortable and will be good for all day use. Also, the handles are long enough to get good leverage on tougher wires. An inspection of the jaws indicate they are hardened steel and show no sign of wear. There is no wobble in the body of the pliers. These are a good pair of cutting pliers.

I’m always heading up and down my stairs to the attic to get basic tools for my home repairs throughout the house or garage. This new set of “needle nose” pliers are a great addition to my collection of tools. I’m expecting this Crescent branded pair to become my preferred go-to set. These are marketed as 8″ which is a bit of an understatement to the 8 1/2″ plus overall length. This length combined with the generous degree of molded plastic on the handles make them pretty “bulky” relative to some other lesser versions I own. I personally like the design which gives good grip and feel. Cutting head and leverage of design are great. A nice addition to my mobile toolkit!

Excellent set of diagonal pliers. I somehow lost my last pair of diagonal pliers and have been meaning to replace them for a while. I wish I would have got these up sooner! They provide an angled head to allow for easy flush cuts. I also love the size, I think these are the perfect size/torque ratio. They feel fairly good in my hand, and provide just the right amount tackiness on the grip without it being too much. I have been using them around the house and love them.

These are decent cutters. The open/close action is tight, but they may loosen with usage. The tight action makes them a bit more difficult to use with one hand. I have a similar pair of Channellock cutters that I prefer. The finish of the Crescent isn’t as nice, the action not as smooth, and the Channellocks are made in the USA, for a similar price. They both cut 10-14GA electrical wire equally well. These are for my “backup” second tool kit.Made in China

These cutting pliers are just what I needed. They have a nice weight to them and made of excellent quality. Fit well in my hand. The cutting edges are nice and sharp. The handles have a rubberized coating so they won’t be prone to slipping out of hand. There are holes in the ends to allow them to be hung up. I tried cutting some medium weigh wire and did so with ease. I cut a heavy duty paperclip and it took a bit more muscle for my granny hands but snapped nicely. I highly recommend these cutting pliers.

Although these CRESCENT Cutting Pliers are designed for home repair, car repair, and other tough jobs, I find them to be a good tool for pruning palm tree roots that have invaded the screens on our patio. When trimming thorny bougainvillea bushes and the quick-growing Brazilian pepper trees behind our yard, these pliers make cutting through thick branches easy. The handle design does not require great strength to squeeze, and it applies solid pressure to make a clean cut.

This is a nice pair of diagonal pliers, they feel really good in the hand. They have a nice balance and enough heft that you can intuitively feel what you are doing with the tool. The pliers cut very well, I was able to easily cut 12 gauge Romex with little effort. One of the listed features flush cutting. I’m not sure that is the case. When I compared these pliers with a pair of Diamalloy diagonal pliers. The cutting blades are much closer to the edge of the pliers on the Diamalloy. One other comment, Right out of the package this tool was very stiff. It had to be lubed and worked for several minutes to loosen up. This is common with many similar tools.

The Crescent 8 inch diagonal cutting pliers are the perfect addition for any mechanic, electrician or any of the Do It Yourselfers out there. Not only are they sharp and can cut easily through wire. These cutting plyers also made with hard cutting blades which stay sharp a long time. I have been using them for a few months now, and while cutting wire and small metal bands these plyers haven’t missed a beat.

The brand Crescent is associated to the adjustable wrench that we all own. This well know brand has now ventured into the wire cutting area. Even as simple as this tool is the Crescent brand has improved the feel and cutting performance. The larger padded handles are comfortable and give the user extra torque when cutting larger gauge wire. If you looking to replace your classic dull wire cutters give the Crescent a try. You won’t be disappointed.

I was glad to pick up these diagonal cutters along with other tools from this manufacturer to offset the ones that have been misplaced.Every time I replace them I look for something better and I think these fit the bill. These are pretty solid and feel substantial in your hands. The handles are comfortable to grip which should come in handy when cutting something hard. The tolerances seem pretty tight as you can see in the photos. There is a little gap right near the tip but I didn’t have any trouble cutting house wiring with it.

My initial assessment of the product was slightly lower than the five stars that I gave it. This changed when I actually cut something with it. These cut like diagonal cutters that are at least 50% larger. The force these generated surprised me. The grips are very comfortable. I have a pair of needle nose pliers from another manufacturer that had very comfortable grips, but they became loose over time. These grips seem secure, but I can only be certain after a year or so of use. I will update this review if something changes. I highly recommend these diagonal cutters based on their comfortable grips and surprising cutting force.

I love to work on my house, and I have been acquiring tools for the job. A girl can’t have to many tools. The Crescent 6in. Diagonal Cutting Pliers are the best. They feel good in the hand, has some weight to them, quality thru and thru.Just yesterday I used them to replace my bathroom light fixture, I will be able to use them outdoors too. Everyone should have the Crescent 6in. Diagonal Cutting Pliers in their tool box.

I’m only giving this product a 4 star rating because of the size, it’s a little small for a big man’s hands. The pliers are very well made, sturdy, durable, all in all a quality product. Even though I got these for my Husband, I think they will end up in my toolbox, they are more the size of a woman’s hands, and I can definitely put them to good use!

This Crescent Pliers tool is excellent. The coated handles feel really good, give sturdy gripping yet comfortable. The cutting ability seems really sharp and feels precise. I cut various items including different gauges of wire and even the usually awful blister pack with ease. The best feature is the size. At 8 inches, it is perfect to hold and grip and get the job done.
