paired with 5800x on a rog strix b550-f board and works great. thaipoon burner shows its a micron e-die dual rank modules. enabled docc(xmp) and changed to 3600 with 16-19-16-36 timings from dram calculator @ default 1.35v. ran occt memory test for an hour and hci memtest for 200% coverage and runs solid with no errors. could possibly go faster but 3600 low latency is better than higher clock with higher latency. only issue is paid bit extra for white due to black being out of stock. then again white is actually not bad on a black board.

Excessive, yes. Needed, no… I’m the type who used to run a virtualization cluster in the basement to have a sandbox for various projects and interested. I decided that it was time to move away from that and just keep a secondary PC at my desk through a KVM switch to go between my primary PC and this one. Running it in a B450-Pro 4 motherboard with a 3950X (trickle down upgrade from the primary PC) with Debian 10 to run VMs. Great setup with the all Noctua cooling solutions in a ThermalTake Core cube style PC. Plenty of room to build test environments for understanding what i’m building at work and play with other OSes as the desire arises.

I just retired from a long career as a lawyer and I wanted to do something completely different and relaxing for my first week off of full time work. I do a lot of photography as a hobby and I have many tens of thousands of high resolution photographs. I had been using the same computer for about 10 years, but it was getting very slow, I was running out of storage and various parts were showing their age. Therefore, I decided to spend my first week building a new computer myself for the first time. I wanted 32GB of fast RAM because I process lots of high resolution images, and because I faster processor. Long story short, much to my joy and amazement the computer has run flawlessly from the instant I plugged it in and pushed the on button. I could not be happier. The system was fun to build, I learned a lot about building and setting up my own system. The new system is working beautifully. It is stable and blazing fast compared to my old rig. Lightroom and Photoshop are working MUCH faster Also, I have to say thank you to the people at B&H. They patiently answered my questions when I was deciding what components to purchase. The folks that I talked to were very knowledgeable and helpful. They promptly helped me to swap out a couple of components which were delayed due to back ordering, so all of the parts were ready when I was to finish the project. THANK YOU.

Works like it should x.m.p. has to be enabled to get the advertised speeds. I think this is a great balance between price and performance.

No complaints. Lots of memory.

Works great, good heatsink and low profile. While not the fastest RAM out there, it is plenty fast enough and is great value. Memory chips are made by Micron and good quality.
