When I bought my Aurora R9 earlier this year, I wanted 64 GB of RAM, but the sticker shock of the second 32 GB from Alienware was too much for me. They use Kingston HyperX, I thought; I’ll just get some later when the price goes down. Well…After reading the horror stories of folks trying to add RAM in the Dell Community post, I was expecting a battle but tried to learn from what I read there. So, the 32 GB of Kingston HyperX @ 2933 comes out and in went 64 GB of Crucial Ballistix @ 3200. I purchased two of these (2 X 16 GB) kits. Well guess what, it was that easy…pulled the two Kingstons out and installed the four Crucial modules. Fired the computer up…it lit up fine…sat there a minute…gave me a screen that asked if I had monkeyed with the memory…I clicked on proceed and the next thing you know, I was in Windows. I have shut down and powered up many times…no problems. Wasn’t that easy! I do have to admit that I have Windows fast start up shut off, I do think that may be the root of some folks problems, as it doesn’t really shut Windows off properly. I highly recommend Crucial Ballistix memory for trouble free memory upgrades.

Everything is ok. XMP 3200 MHz works well. Overclocked it up to 3733 MHz with timing 16-19-19-37-2T, voltage 1.35 v and no problem. No mistakes in memtest. Everything works great and fast. My motherboard is Asrock B560m PRO4 and CPU 10400f. Finally, I can overclock memory on Intel MBs.

I play pretty much only Monster Hunter World on this machine now nowadays. No issues have happened in the 1 month I owned it so far. Individual stick bandwidths are 2666 MHz. Just make sure your MB is new enough to support DDR4.

Product arrived extremely late but it was worth the wait. Asthetically also the product is great. Tip: To get the full 3200 Mhz you would need to change BIOS settings and enable XMP. Before changing the settings the system became slower despite having increased RAM.
Birdie Padberg (verified owner) –
a very good and high clocked memory for price and i love the heat spreader design
Teresa Green (verified owner) –
RAM has run fine as advertised. Have had for a couple weeks.
